not really. volley is basically gmp/lmp with a differant, scaling pattern. Ancestral call, is "supports single target melee attack skills, causing them to attack multiple targets simultaneously." Notice, it does not say, "multiple targets, near target" Can it attack in 3 different directions...

Rory confirmed some ancestral call stuff. Essentially it spawns two copies of you when you attack, visually like charged dash. Static strike works very well. 3 stacks.

basically yes. Unique items are not strictly better then rares. However, unique items often have effects only they can do. Whereas a rare item will just have raw stats. And as such, juniques can be build enabling. Generally, then you will need to know what item it is in the first place...

also, no reflect damage, and depending on the skill, you can drop mines faster then you can attack or cast. This is a big reason why arc is so good with mines. Self cast Arc, has a .8s cast, and +7chains. 3 mines with minefield. so acrx3 with every cast. instant detonation. etc.

Best use for that 5l ring is for a COH setup I think. particularly occultist. orb of storms, coh+3 curses. otherwise an occultist with 3 or 4 curses, needs 5 or 6l staff, in addition to chest. 5l ring lets you use dagger/shield, or wands.
