JRPG plots were always batshit insane or incomprehensible. Even everyone's favorite FF3 is weird as shit but we can at least understand "yeah we gotta save the kingdom from evil."

The aesthetic of this game looks like a clown puked. Then you put that in a blender and sprayed it all over the character models. Who thinks this looks good? It's just straight weird looking and totally unappealing.

Just started on this. This impressively done. The story is kinda weird but at least it's interesting and the characters are good. Combat is compelling and the soundtrack is great.
