Yup I found the same thing with the helicopter. Originally I started using it just to get around the Player vs lack of path up the hill to the objective side of the game :P But infinite ammo mini guns are just too fun.

PRO Tip: When you get to the last questing zone (Stillmoor), take the quest to have an elite vampire drink your blood, but never complete it. Grats, you have a permanent illusion bottle, and it also makes almost the entire zone non-aggro to you! Makes questing a bit easier. Quest is not...
