I killed Darklurker for the first time in NG+, my combined ATN+INT+WIS is like 10 points. He doesn't feel like "low hp" when you can't magic spam him with 5 hits and ez win. I hit him for ~110 a pop with a +10 Huntsman's bow and fire arrows. It took 50 arrows.

it's not really that different today than it was with 600 when 99 started, because half of those 1300 in prime time are max level players in raid zones or in EC tunnel. The number of people in the leveling game is fairly constant, sadly.

Unlike DS1, the game does become significantly harder in NG+. More enemies, new enemies, more stuff happening in boss fights.

I just did Royal Rat, I was only gank summoned once, and it was just one player. I find belfry tower to be far more annoying. If you die there, it's an actual death, and you're invaded within seconds of opening the door by two grey phantoms. Belfry gets my top ganking Covenant vote.
