Indeed. But I think with the resources you'd have left over from a pure 2D MMO, you could do some amazing things. Hell, Ultima did a lot of stuff that was waaay ahead of it's time. I think that's because it wasn't bogged down by having to hire hundreds of artists to make more worlds for you.

Just went and saw it. Loved the settings, loved the monsters, and loved the mechs as well. The characters could have been developed more, but they were just fine for the kind of movie they were going for. The action was pretty fucking insane. Definitely would see again.
