i hate flexible classes in that they negate the need for interdependence which is a fundamental part of mmos. they also lead to the jack-of-all-trade combat like guild war 2 which was a disaster.
i can appreciate that they're trying something new, but judging by the art and combat, this just lacks the eq spirit. i would have liked to have seen something like black desert online but a little less korean.
why are people so hung up on combat? combat's not going to keep you playing and you can forget about single-player combat in an mmo because that would be a logistical nightmare. and lol at wow combat being more exciting than eq combat. the only difference between the two was that wow required...
short of employing virtual reality technology, i can't think of any innovations that would make for an exciting mmo experience. the user-generated content stuff sounds totally fucking lame.
if this game is f2p, you can bet that it's going to be designed for casual players with intrusive reminders to buy shit. i'll check it out just because it's everquest but i fully expect it to be like every mmo of the last 10 years.
people probably hate skyler because she comes across as callous at times, but i don't think their dynamic is boring at all. the only thing i don't like about the show is the timeline of events. there's no way all this stuff happens within a year.
He'll need more evidence to prove it in a court of law, but of course he knows. Anyone with half a brain would have come to that conclusion after seeing "G.B." and "W.W."
aside from zobrist, the players you listed either suck or no longer playing. texas isn't following the same path because they aren't trading away their farm. i'll be concerned when they trade odor and profar for alex rios.
houston's developing quite well but there's no fucking way they're becoming contenders by 2015. they have maybe two good players on their major league roster at the moment.
and why do you think texas is getting dumber?
texas really only needs one or two bats but it's amazing how fucking quickly they're looking like sellers. i guess the positive of all this is that ron washington will be the first to go.
i never thought i'd see the day when texas had a shitty offense and good pitching. i'm about ready to see manny ramirez called up to replace david murphy.
i'm sure texas would have traded olt and half the farm for stanton if he were available but garza is really the best option this season. i think he's a bit overrated but he's a clear upgrade over grimm. i like olt but he's almost 25 and would have just stagnated in the minors if he weren't moved.
and you neg me in a baseball thread. it's kind of sad that you have to be a socially inept mongoloid to have a "positive" reputation on this site. you clearly don't understand that there's a correlation between his highest batting averages and intentional walks. WHAT EVIDENCE SUGGESTS THE...
are YOU retarded? there's nothing to suggest steroids had anything to do with his highest batting averages. his highest averages and highest intentional walk rates were concurrent so it probably had to do with the way he was being pitched .
he had a batting average of .370 a few years after he began using steroids. so fucking what? he hit .336 in 1993 when he was noticeably thinner and was the best hitter in major league history. steroids didn't change barry bonds' numbers that much over the course of his career. i'd even argue...
Why is anyone excited about this? Snyder doesn't know how to develop characters. Man of Steel is pure trash.
I'd like to see a bona fide Batman reboot. Nolan didn't do that superhero justice.
what the fuck are you talking about? steroids don't magically fix holes in your swing. chris davis had a career 30% k rate in the majors and it improved tremendously this year. the whole contact rate argument is irrelevant now anyway because he's struck out a lot this month. he went 3 for...
this show is great. nowhere does it make excuses for these people's crimes. it does a great job of humanizing people who made some very poor choices.
and that woman wasn't convicted of murder. she's in prison for harboring illegal immigrants i believe.
i wouldn't call the future awesome, but after 19 episodes you still don't get the full scope of things. each episode pretty much involves liber8 killing someone and kiera cameron solving an unrelated murder.
the show is entertaining, but it does a crappy job of explaining their motives or the impact the the "corporations" have had on society. they're basically serial killers. i'm not sure i'd call them heroes.
chris davis has always had immense power but had a huge hole in his swing when he was with texas. i'm happy for his success this year but i doubt he's going to be an elite hitter for years to come.
also, i think the effects of steroids are grossly exaggerated. barry bonds was a 40-home run...
i'm sure a lot of the characters on the show have shades of grey, but i fail to see how liber8 is a sympathetic organization when they kill indiscriminately.
people are oversimplifying their conflict. i'd be scared shitless if someone were following me, especially at night. some of you are acting like it's totally normal to essentially stalk someone without consequence.
i can't really pinpoint it, but something about this show rubs me the wrong way. a lot of it comes off as "cutesy" and most of the characters' reactions are unrealistic.
