That is how GW2 did it and I think it was a good trade off. The major plot quests were voice acted and had little scenes of you and the NPC talking, but the majority of the pissant stuff was just a random line or two and text.

It seems like lower throttle saves fuel to me. Dropping back to 3/4 seems to show a pretty substantial economy increase from 100%. But of course you need to maintain enough thrust to move you the direction you need.

You aren't a min/maxer as much as a cheater and sploiter, Tuco. That is probably your problem. It is hard to get attatched to characters when you cheatcode past the early stuff!

I never noticed the silent character in DA1's first playthrough either. Sitting down with it again about 6 months ago though it was VERY obvious to me. As was the Dragonborn's in Skyrim, I find those long silent pauses in diolague painfully obvious now.
