Really liked the first episode and both McConaughey / Harrelson are really good, especially McConaughey. I also like the atmosphere / ambiance, they're doing a very good job at depicting Louisiana. Felt like David Fincher's Zodiac, in some way.
I'm really glad they put underwear on Chuas and reduced Human / Aurin breast size, we totally need that instead of giving a pass to combat gameplay, general polishing and fixing gamebreaking bugs. Yeah we don't need to test lvl36-50 and endgame content, let's focus on skills redesign with no...
This game will die so hard when people will figure they'll have to pay a subscription to play Cyrodiil's endgame content herpderp RvR / AvA like GW2 where you spend hours killing doors and walls and when PvP happens it's zerg Vs zerg and everyone lag and crash and spam their delayed abilities...
When I hit level 8 on Covenant side I had 4 quests in my journal (which is still an pain in the ass, worst quest journal ever) and 3 of them were bugged : the one with Aefir or whatever, NPC won't move, Abomination of Fear won't spawn and the Mages guild quest where you have portals to close...
Textures are overall better. Everything else is the same, and having the same lvl8 quest bugging for months now is just pathetic. Though it's good to be back in Tortage.
While I enjoyed both BGs (guilds wars / trash talk / drama during vanilla) and arenas (BC seasons) I was fully aware about the issues : BGs like WSG relied heavily on burst squads for example, and arenas where poorly implemented because Blizzard tried to balance it for both PvE / PvP (hence...
I'm gonna ruffle some feathers here but I think competitive wise instanced PvP like battlegrounds / arenas isn't that bad. Of course fun factor relies a lot on balance / goals / competition and ganking / corpsecamp is always kind of fun but fighting equally geared / prepared people is more...
"We lack DPS" said no one ever :P Joke aside, I think it's artificial because it just relies on how hard it is to manage the roster rather than perfecting the encounter. Of course you can say "but both are what makes it hard" and then I realize opinions differ a lot based on what one did...
Yes I'd agree with you, managing 40 man is "harder" than 25 man, but to me it's artificial, I'd rather spend my raiding night chainwiping on some encounter than waiting for JohnnyHunter to have his father's computer for the night or Ninjehwarriornaruto to replace our most efficient DPS rogue who...
I've never said anything about competitive PvE being streamlined or casualized on my terms, I did both 40man and 25HM man modes in WoW and I think current 25HM man is better because it remains highly competitive without having the artificial difficulty of micromanaging 5-10 terrible players...
I was talking aboutcompetitive PvEthere, which I'm clearly interested. Carbine clearly said 40 man will be the competitive format (best gear / difficulty).
40 man raiding in Wildstar will be as fun as organizing a laser tag game with headless chickens. I just hope they'll eventually understand why WoW is going 20 man competitive PvE. They really need to stop going dogmatic about every feature, nobody should give a damn about 40 man raiding anymore...
You might try Spellslinger then, it has somewhat better mobility in early levels. Also you don't really need to "spam" Telekinetic Strike unless you want to do burst DPS. Leveling wise, you'd make more sustained dps hitting TS one then purging your Psi point than 5 points capping it.
Wildstar seems to be on the same rails though : they have no available at testing endgame content 6 months from release and they might crush hard because 40man raiding and 40v40 PvP requires by design a lot of mass testing.
I'll keep mine (From Friday, January 10th at 6:00PM EST Until Sunday, January 12th at 11:59PM EST this weekend) I'm curious to seemyselfhow the game has turned since last Stress Test.
Their Emperor skilltree design ilustrates well how they're just a bunch of amateurs when it comes to game design decisions : "hey we're going MASSIVE PVP BITCHES but let's reward one person at a time !" Also as someone said, massive PvP points / score is easily exploitable and you'll end up with...
