Well one game in so far and I see no reason to switch off beam staff. The only nerf that changes pyro+beam play pattern is the instant right click snipe doesn't oneshot most specials anymore, you actually have to beam them for a second or two. Otherwise infinite overcharge reduction from crits...

Well, having a bunch of 200+ ping chinese dudes only exacerbates the network and tickrate issues they already have. If half the people you're fighting aren't a full second+ out of sync with you it'll feel a lot smoother in general.
