No idea. Im not familiar with that person. I meant you need to tell us what you like to play. There are lot of playstyles within choas and dots itself. As long as you aren't retarded and blow your early windfall on a shavs, it's hard to fuckup your start with a meta build.

There's quite a few starter builds, you need to help narrow it down.

He was playing HCSSF, I wouldn't play an ignite build in SSF. Ignite needs some good cluster jewels to scale into the endgame. Harvest might get you those, but who knows the availability of the crafts you need? Chaos damage scalars do nothing for ignite.

In general, I agree with you. However, there is no shortage of fast screen clearing builds that don't suffer from a slow dps skill.

No doubt. The build was otherwise powerful, great dps and sustain. My rule of thumb is that my main dps skill should have an activation(cast, attack, whatever) time of at most a third of a second. My recollection is that build felt somewhat like playing in slow motion.

How was your attack speed? When I tried BA, it felt slow.

Self cast bf bb sucks too. You can get clear with just bf but I was never a fan of the delay on the skill. Coverage sucks too until you go woke.

No, this sounds like you're still thinking of poison as double dipping. No modifiers are applied before base hit damage is calculated.

What always kills fireball builds for me: it requires 2 non-damage support gems to clear well(GMP and fork or chain or pierce). Firestorm requires maybe one support for good clear? I haven't looked at it much, but I was thinking spell cascade is all it needs. @Thregin PoB updated for 3.13...
