I was for more offended by Bill standing out in the open shooting at the raiders, instead of using cover. That was the least believable part of the whole episode.

It's kind of implied Bill is gay in the game, just from the interactions with Joel about Bill and his 'best friend' Frank. So I don't think he went gay from loneliness. I think he was just gay from jump. That being said, it's kind of far fetched for another gay guy to just happen to fall into...

Yeah, the multitude and length of the sexual scenes definitely detracted from the episode. My wife, who is not into gaming or the show, was like "wtf are you watching?!".

Honestly, she seems the same as the game. I thought she was annoying there too(at least in the beginning), so it's at least faithful to the source material.

This was a great episode, even with the deviation from the game of having Bill die before Ellie gets there. Also, I just noticed Tess was the chick from Fringe. Didn't really notice when they had her aged in the previous episodes.

Honestly, the casting of this entire first episode was perfect. I'm stoked for the entire season.

Yeah, I'm kind of jealous of those who are watching this without knowing anything about it, but then again, the game was amazing in its time and I'm glad I was there to play it. I also went into Sandman blind and really enjoyed it.

Been using Axe build and using all 7 pcs of the Obsidian Samurai set, but I have my stamina way spiked so that my weight is still green, so it's a good balance of dodging and blocking.

I loved the first Nioh, but for whatever reason, when this came out, I only played like a few hours and lost interest. Now that the remaster came out on PS5 on PS+, I restarted and am really loving it. I'm on ng+(Dream of the Strong?) and still really enjoying it. Going through the DLC now.
