    Star Wars : Rogue One

Not only alive, but still looking the same 40 years later.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I enjoyed it more than TFA, which I also liked. I could have done with better character development and some more careful editing (it was pretty evident where they cut down/excised scenes). I also would have liked it more if they didn't go full close-up on...

    Star Wars : Rogue One

Oh, for fuck's sake. This kind of thing has become just as irritating as the SJWs themselves. It's Star Wars not starring Jar Jar and whiney Anakin. You'll be watching.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

Is there some sort of overriding problem with Whil Wheaton that I'm not aware of that has conferred him with douche status? I'm not trying to be sarcastic...I just know him from Stand By Me, Star Trek and The Big Bang Theory and I've read a couple of his blog posts including this one that seemed...

    Star Wars : Rogue One

Premier reactions aren't the best indicator of quality by any stretch, but all of the feedback I've seen so far has been extremely positive. At least we can be reasonably confident that it doesn't suck.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

I've been impatiently waiting for a good old fashioned Star Wars space battle since 1983. I am excited now. It better not be some quick 2 minute fucking thing to make more time available for a bunch of stilted dialog.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

Potter 3 was the only legit great one. The rest had their moments I guess.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

It's been years since I've read them, but I remember the whole non-verbal casting thing is explained pretty comprehensively in the books. I don't think the movies touched on it much if at all, though, and they skipped over a host of other things that are satisfactorily detailed in the books. In...

    The Walking Dead

Man, that is a terrible analogy, but if we must relate it to sports: what you're expecting to happen with Rick at this point is like expecting the Browns to win the Superbowl this year.

    The Walking Dead

Weren't you the one jumping for joy the last time we saw Rick when Negan completely broke him and left him to drown in a quivering lake of his own tears? And now that he's had his balls kicked in and launched out the back of his skull, you're irritated because he's taking more than five minutes...

    Post-Election Poll For Trump Voters

Given all of the reporting and discussion about the historic lack of confidence coming from voters of both candidates during the run up to Election Day, just how (un)satisfied are you, the Trump voter, to know that Donald J. Trump will become the next president of The United States of America?

    How miserable is your life

Cans are only better for the convenience factor. Bottled tastes much better. An IPA in a can is an abomination.

    Skyrim

Is there any point in grabbing the special edition to replace a graphically modded PC version? I've heard that it's barely better than the vanilla game, and worse if you've already modded with high res textures and such. It's a free download for me, but obviously I'll steer clear if there...

    Hugh Jackman: Logan

Oh, come on. X1, X2, First Class, and DoFP were all decent to good. The second Wolverine movie was surprisingly good (the director's cut at least, I never saw the regular version). I am still waiting for Apocalypse to come to Netflix or something. I don't feel like paying for that one.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

Black stormtrooper went overboard in trying to appear to have the lung capacity of a 97 year old, but he was fine otherwise. Stilted/wooden he was not. And Adam Driver was great. I thought he gave a perfect performance for the character.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

The acting in TFA was fine for the most part...at least par for the course when compared to the OT. This is reminding me more of the prequels.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

Something about these trailers just isn't clicking with me yet. It looks and sounds amazing, but that's mainly due to nostalgia things. I think it's that nearly all of the characters come off as really stilted. Hopefully that's just the way the trailers have been cut and that we aren't actually...

Trump and Clinton Voters - How Much Do You Actually Support Your Candidate?

As unfathomable as it seems given America's history of presidential elections, this election cycle has been focused on character assassination rather than on policy discussion to an extent - at least to me - even greater than all of the other shit storms in living memory. Passionately voting...

    Bioshock Remastered Collection

FYI, BS 1 and 2 got hit with a patch this week that appears to have resolved a lot of the outstanding bugs and issues. If anyone had been scared off by the initial bad press, feel free to jump in now. I'm playing through the first game again, and it's still pretty damn amazing.

    Biggest video game disappointment?

The first game that immediately springs to mind is Back to the Future for the NES. However, my disappointment didn't have much to do with my having an overabundance of expectations for it. A short background: Where I grew up was practically in the middle of nowhere. The closest place to...

The Hobbit - Fan Edits / Cuts etc.

I like the idea of a sensibly-done fan edit, but the reality of the video/audio quality suffering, the music turning into a cut up mess, the likelihood of all new issues being created, etc means I would almost assuredly never bother to seriously watch one. I understand that there were some...

    Suicide Squad (2016)

I believe I'll take a pass on increasing my appreciation for a terrible movie by spending my free time watching an even more terrible movie.

    Suicide Squad (2016)

No, this movie was bad. I haven't bothered to see BvS, so perhaps those that did are grading Suicide Squad on a curve, but this was the worst superhero movie I've seen in years. It was actively irritating, which is rare for me while taking in dumb popcorn entertainment. That's not to say that it...

    Nintendo Power

Yeah, they seem to be gone. I even signed up and everything. I had a subscription in the late 80s/early 90s. It was ridiculous how it exciting it was when a new issue showed up in the mail. I'd eat bowl after bowl of cereal for breakfast and before bed while paging through each issue. It's a...

    Suicide Squad (2016)

This movie was a mess. It played out like a bunch of scenes were filmed completely independent of eachother and then given to an eight year old with ADD to edit together in a day. So many lines that were meant to elicit either a comedic or emotional response just fell flat. Nearly all of the...
