Since buying GHIV December 21st at $10.90: Gonna be interesting to see how much it runs up during January. If it goes up to 14-15 I think I’ll sell.

I put $2000 in GHIV a few days back, up $300 total return. APXT did well today too. I dunno why I sold THCB at $12 for mild profit. 😜

Got it. I’ll read into these things more and learn how to use em. And yeah I’m avoiding those losses pretty well at the moment! Making a little is better than losing a lot.

As always thanks for the perspective. I think in most cases I’m too careful and tend to take a quick profit and end up leaving $300-1000 on the table with great frequency. So I should, on a trend, be a little more aggressive but not overly so. The good news is I haven’t hardly lost any money...

Okay, well selling shares of HCAC at $20 may have been premature. The idea of post merger dip didn’t play out.

Well turns out it’s shooting up, so I got over excited. Didn’t sell yet but monitoring closely. Not that I stand to make any gigantic amount. edit: sold just over $20, merger approved. Didn’t want to hold any longer.

HCAC merger vote is today. I’m a little iffy on this. I’ve got a few thousand dollars in shares and I’ve made a little thus far, and companies are praising Canoo, but the price has been stagnating pretty heavy and hype wasn’t that great after their vehicle unveil. I’m kinda on the verge of...

Definitely too many of those, it does detract from some areas. Still some fun to be had but I’d be happy if they didn’t allow them. Reminds me of Orlando. I’d never spend much time in KW anyway unless I had a lot of sporting things planned on the water, what’s on land wears out quick.

    Key West, FL

I’ve been down in Ft Meyers and Key West the past couple of days visiting my parents (I’m from Florida but up north.) Nice to get out of the cold and rainy SF Bay Area into 82 degree weather. A touch humid but barely enough to even sweat. Duval Street was starting to get busier as we were...

    Cyberpunk 2077

They’ve already been doing it since day one of release. That said it does have great bones, I’m just waiting to play it, even on my high-ish end PC. I don’t want to “ruin” by playing it in its current state. Will be more fun after 6 months to a year of patching.

    Cyberpunk 2077

I mean, If you’re playing on PC, why do the exploits even matter? From day one there have been Cheat Engine tables and trainers, if you want to cheat stuff you can do so far more easily than exploits in game.

It’s not the worst game ever. I’m not refunding it, but I’m going to wait 6+ months to maybe a year depending on what I hear before trying to play it again.

I was one of the first couple of people to state how shitty this game was right after it came out and 2-3 people actively shit on me saying that, so this is all pretty hilarious.

They have something like three houses in Marin County, one or two in Santa Rosa, and 1 or 2 in Sonoma. So yeah, they’re making a load. And like I said they don’t even spend it which makes it even weirder they evade the taxes. The dad drives a early 2000s truck and the mom has a 10 year plus...

I’ve never not paid a dime to the tax man I owed. I haven’t even got a speeding ticket since the year 2000. Dunno why you’re so tilted at me because I won’t rat someone else out. I can just imagine telling my other friends: “Hey I just got 300 grand from reporting tax fraud from my friend...

I’m very close friends with the daughter. They weren’t just casually telling me. She’s even met my parents in another state before and stayed with them even when I wasn’t there. We used to a lot of stuff together. We now live about an hour away and she’s engaged and I don’t see her as often.

I am not “enabling” then to steal money by not reporting them. Do I like the fact they do this? No. That’s why when they told me, and the daughter told me she does it also, I was like really? I kinda pointedly asked her if she was afraid of getting caught in an accusatory way...unfortunately...

Yah...my dad’s company many years back when he owned one got audited, not due to any fault of his own but his in-house accounting person made some mistakes in how they were paying taxes. I was there one day when an IRS official came in with a badge and everything and wanted to talk. It was...

Sure it does. I asked a banker friend about it. He said the IRS does not have any mechanism to just bulk look at bank accounts and see if they match against taxes. Obviously if you get audited that’s different.

It’s not even feasible to not have a car in the Bay Area or LA. You can kinda get away with it in SF if you’re that type of person. I live in the East Bay and drive probably 100-200 miles a week just for personal stuff / seeing friends nearby.

SPACs down today. People are saying they’ve become too popular and are getting more and more mainstream press which is causing deviation from the patterns they typically exhibit. Or that could be nonsense. Still holding all my shares of DYMD, APXT, and HCAC.
