RE: Battery Life. Been playing literally all day long and have had 0 issues with the controller running low.
Slightly annoying issue: I don't see a way to specifically set up speaker configs like on the PS3. When set to Linear PCM it seems to output 7.1 as a default, which my receiver doesn't...
I did the first mission of it and it seems alright. I have no clue what the fuck a ton of the systems are though and it doesn't seem to offer much explanation on things.
It's an HDMI control handshake thing that lets other devices on HDMI, if they have the firmware/support for it, control other devices. It's usually used for volume control and turning stuff off/on, stuff like that.
You can find it under the Settings -> System entry in the menu. In the System...
Neat thing with the PS4's HDMI link - If it's off or in Standbye and I switch my Receiver to the input the PS4 is on it'll turn on and boot up.
Though, it does have problems when it's totally off, I seem to have to press the input button for it a few times. When it's in Standbye though it's...
I didn't say I had none. I basically said that any that I have regarding Asian Labor abuses (and there are many of those happening constantly) are outweighed by my desire for video games. Which is pretty much the same forevery single personhere or they wouldn't own consoles or PCs or ipads and...
Does Canada allow you to exploit free-labor like Foxconn does at their current factories?
Honestly, anyone with a decent set of Ethics and Morals probably shouldn't buy a PS4 or Xbone (or most other electronics for that matter), but thankfully my personal pleasure via video games outweighs...
You shouldn't be playing with all the lights off, bad for your eyes. Get a backlight for your TV, they are amazing and cheap. I've got an LED strip that runs across the back of mine and now have 0 eyestrain.
Been drinking and playing PS4 games with Daezed. Knack was fun. Killzone isfucking gorgeous. Resogun is great. Moving on to AC4 soon.
Also, anyone who can't tell the difference between this generation and last needs their fucking eyes checked. There is a night and day difference and all of...
I have now memorized my 16 character randomly generated password for my PSN account from trying to log in to PSN on my PS4 today and having to retype it.
Let's see. I had a NES, then a SNES and Genesis and Gameboy, then a N64, then a PS1, then a PS2, then a Gamecube, then a Wii, then a X360, then a PS3, and now a PS4. Next week I'll also have a 3DS XL.
Typing in a 16 char randomly generated password to log into my PSN account on a controller is so totally awesome.
Hopefully it actually gets through to PSN.
The most sane thing you've said all day. I'll still buy DAI, because I can't help myself, but I won't touch most of the rest of their shit.
Just got my PS4 in a bit ago, had to finish watching the latest ep of Outbreak Company first though, updating it via USB right now.
Do they rent super short term like 1-2 months?
You'd think someone would have offered launch-window leases at some point and made a ton of money off of everyone.
Like Taebin said, buy the ST unless you have money to blow (also if you really want "peace of mind" on the input lag, but I think it's not noticeable). However, if you live in the UK, buy the GT for sure.
You actually should be sitting at about 7 feet away from a 55", even according to the site you linked.
7.5 Feet is the maximum for a 55" according to SMPTE viewing angle calculations. For THX, the recommended on a 55" is 6.1 feet.

Yeah, the framerate on most X360 and PS3 games these days is pretty ass. The PS3 PSN Store is also definitely the most god awful slow thing to navigate ever. How the fuck hard is it to make a store front that doesn't run at 5 fps? Seriously.
Nope. I bought a used 60GB original model off ebay around the time MGS came out. I don't think I paid that much for it, less than $300 I think.
It caught fire a couple years later. The shitty Sony CS actually charged me $150 to replace it. Still have the big fat replacement PS3 and it'll...
There's quite a few third party games that are console only depending on the genres you're into. There's a *lot* of RPGs, big and small, that are console only (and often PlayStation only). It's mostly Japanese developers though, I can't think of a Western dev that does it besides Rockstar.
I didn't purchase a X360 until Blue Dragon was coming out. I think I purchased a PS3 when Metal Gear Solid came out.
But, it's been waaaaaaaaaaay the fuck too long since new consoles have come out and this generation is way long in the tooth. So as Pachter said, it's time to get a fucking new...
I don't think you guys know how that shit works, especially Gaige - the bigger the TV you have themorenoticeable shit is.
The difference in sharpness and aliasing for games on higher resolutions Vs lower resolutions goes a lot further than how much you can make out exact texture detail.
