Rumor: Journey and Unfinished Swan confirmed for PS4 - NeoGAF
Looks like more cross-buy stuff from PSN coming (if you have Flower and Flow on PS3 you get them on PS4 too).
So, one of the Neogaf people (Kagari) confirmed that MP3 playback and DLNA is coming in a firmware update for the PS4. Probably the second one after launch.
There's some really weird imbalance in the Greens on the LCD, they're set way too high. The LCD was never going to do Blacks nearly as well or have as good color accuracy to begin with, but the color balance is completely off on it too.
Yeah, Gameplay looks fantastic. I just hope this game actually comes out heh. Still have my pre-order in for the Grand Wizard Edition with the Cartman figure.
Yeah, plugging stuff in obviously. The camera does use its own port. I meant more like Data wise. Surprised they bothered with USB 3.0 since they're not really using it. Guess it's either so cheap now that it doesn't matter or that's just what the AMD (I assume) boards they use come with as a...
Yeah, but it doesn't really matter since it doesn't support external HDDs. I'm not sure what all you'll be able to use the USB ports for. Transferring Vita Data and Patches I guess?
Disagree. There's no bigger disaster than a console that's crippled for its entire life cycle and that's where this is likely to go. They just plain weren't ready for this and it's going to bite them in the ass. They clearly were blindsided and were not ready to release this year. Hell, they...
Yep, you are stuck and it's bullshit. They're retarded expensive. I'm hoping to find a 32GB one cheap on Black Friday. Currently I just have the 8GB one which came with the Vita that Tarrant sold me and it's a bitch to micromanage.
There's also 64GB ones coming at some point, but I'm sure the...
Even worse is all the PS1 classics and shit not working on the PS4 which is retarded. There's no reason for the PS4 to not have PS1 software emulation, because it is an absolute joke to run. No reason for it not to have PS2 software emulation either.
They are porting some PS3 PSN games over...
Pre-ordered my Zelda 3DS XL at my local Gamestop. It's releasing the same night as the Xbone, so I'm going to get liquored up pretty good and go to that launch just to get a 3DS XL.
No, HDD heat is a total non-issue. Anyone claiming that one bricked their PS3 is completely full of shit and just had an old PS3 that was dying anyways.
Dragon's Dogma is a great RPG. I can't wait until Capcom makes a PS4 sequel for it.
Not sure about Contrast, but Resogun looks great if you're into shmups. Resogun also looks awesome on a technical level. Crazy amount of voxels and the shitty youtube quality videos don't do it justice.
Hrm, will definitely have to consider the Travelstar then. Definitely worth a couple extra bucks to go from 750GB to 1TB since there's similar performance if it's a reliable drive.
Not sure if this was confirmed before, but no Win8 requirement for Titanfall (and no delayed release):Titanfall PC Release Same As Xbox, No Windows 8 | Rock, Paper, Shotgun
Man, what does Hayden see in her? She just comes off as really dumb and her looks aren't anything special. Maybe she's a really cool person or something irl, but Survivor sure does a terrible job of showing it.
It shouldn't be any fatter. Product page says it's another 9.5 drive, so it should be okay:Travelstar 7K1000 | HGST Storage
If anyone has any experience with the reliability of HGST and the Travelstar drives I'd appreciate hearing about it. They seem like a better buy than the WD Black atm...
No I wouldn't, because I don't really give a fuck about those features at all. Microsoft could completely leave them out and I would not give a shit. I buy video game consoles to play video games. I don't use any of my consoles foranythingelse. Never have, likely never will.
Sony leaving out...
Btw, here's a little bigger (1TB) alternative to the WD Black drives that's been passed around on Neogaf:HGST Travelstar 7K1000 Review: A 1 TB Notebook Drive At 7200 RPM - HGSTs 1 TB Mobile Drive, Spinning At 7200 RPM

Boy, that is some wishful thinking. I sure would like it to be done with, but I have no doubt that even more of that garbage will be thrown in our faces.
I don't think most people here even use it as a dlna server, just a vocal few. I personally just hook my PC up to my TV via hdmi because fuck streaming video players. If I did though I'd just use my TV's built in stuff for it or keep my PS3 around, since I'm going to have to keep my PS3 hooked...
Well, let's be realistic here. It's still very much a "media center" for the vast majority of people. It plays all the Streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, etc. It plays DVDs and Blu-rays. The only major thing it's really missing is music services like Spotify.
I don't...
This is probably the one I'll be using:Amazon.com: Western Digital 750 GB WD Black SATA III 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Notebook Hard Drive WD7500BPKX: Computers Accessories
