I'd be lying if I didn't say I read 'Will Smith' and 'Nigerian' the wrong way.

Maybe it's the product of being only two episodes in, but this show is kind of a mess, and the acting is very iffy. Even Bennett seems forced. I'll keep watching but hopefully it will hit stride soon.

TV time line doesn't have to equal real time line. 17 months could be the time until Civil War events start. Though I doubt civil war will have much to do with Inhumans. Could tie into Dr Strange but the most likely answer is that it's self contained to the show.
