Just spectacting at this point from afar. Called in all my investments with private companies the last year. Made my small amount in a short window when I put a large amount into the market in energy earlier in the year. Now I'm just spectating.
I see gas prices dropping sharly soon. Oh...
Futures not looking great early. Of course a few days ago they were up quite a bit just before the open. Didn't turn out that way at the end of the day.
The old school definition of inflation was too many dollars chaing too few products.
Let's print trillions of dollars and put them into the economy at a time supply line issues are limiting some products.
What inflation? I think we covered that in the 6th grade in the 80s.
Yeah it's not looking good futures wise.
Posted this in the political thread. Biden annoyed energy producers with the political release of strategic reserve oil, then turns around and complains about them and wants him to help him out. Oil is already heading back up. Closing in on $110/barrel...
I'm up 23% for the year, outside of my retirement account. Just money I put in for 5 weeks on an energy ETF earlier in the year. Combined, not so much.
Forums at cloudynights is the best place for telescope info
https://www.cloudynights.com/
just now starting to restock in small quantities. Like a lot of stuff during the shutdowns people bought up telescopes and slow shipping/replacement.
Southern yellow pine is not a very large root ball. Lost a 24" diameter loblolly to hurricane Ida last year and it came out of the ground and the root ball was maybe 8 feet deep and 12 foot in diameter. Of course it only pulled up the stuff it could and broke off the rest.
Just cut it off at...
Still early. But indexes down 1% across the board. Oil took a $4/barrel hit. Of course going on recent history that means record breaking good day for the market. Who knows.
Parents live a fair distance outside of a town of 2,000 people in MS. The town is now getting a starbucks, aldis and chick-fil-a. Crazy. Guess people fleeting towns now expect things.
I have mineral rights in 3 different tracts. I lease them out from time to time. It's not up to most mineral rights owners if they drill or not. I can't call Exxon and say come drill for oil where I own the rights? I lease them and when someone accumulates enough that they start drilling then I...
Biden press conference this afternoon on how he is going to improve prices. Be afraid.
Edit - more ethanol. Worried about good shortages? Just use it to make gas.

Outside of my IRA I was only in for 6 weeks in an energy ETF and did 23% and then got out. Nice timing on that I guess. Blind squirrel and acorn and such. I just got up, saw the futures were down quite a bit at 3am, but with the way things have went lately who knows.
County/Parish spray for mosquitos here off of trucks on a regular basis. Deep south and I've personally never seen or heard of someone spraying formosquitos for themselves, maybe someone with a real stagnent pond. The people with money have connections to get the county/parish to come out more...
Not chickens. But have used those rotating finger deals to pluck ducks/geese pretty quickly. Another format I have seen used I really wouldn't mess with it is pour liquid wax on them and then bust it off to pull the feathers. Lots of duck hunters and especially the places that guide and pluck...
I'll just say you don't know what you don't even know at this point. Research and guessing that research and advice is not going to come cheap.
Doesn't matter now that deal is off.
Last Best Buy I was in it looked like one of those places that buys the inventory of places that went bankrupt. Then a tornado hit it. Figured for a long time they were basically a showcase of stuff you left and bought off Amazon or somewhere else.
