What can you do at 50 to make gil besides levequests? I think it's a bit silly how much everything costs, repairs just for casting, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for challenge. I LOVE challenge, but in games I HATE inconvenience. And this game has it in spades.

Yea shards will definitely get you. Be sure to do all the tradeskill level 1 and 5 quests, I think those still give like 100 crystals. I blow through lightning shards, and it's boring as hell gathering them (I can't afford to buy em QQ).
