Not drinking water, but our water went out during the hurricane. We had lots of drinking water and just put a bucket at each downspout and had plenty for flushing toilets. Of course it rains a couple of inches or more a week here.

Entergy reported 39% of power back on in New Orleans. Of course lot worse down toward Fourchon and such. Still more than I would have thought. Lot of places having big jamabalya meals for the linemen. I see 50 bucket trucks a day headed to I-55 and I assume headed south to New Orleans.

Never had goats. Cousin raises them and sells the meat to the arabs in the hill country. Always sounded like a pain in the ass to me. Have had 3 cows at once. That few on large enough area is really not much trouble at all. Then haul them off to the slaughter house after they eat on the grass...

I'm going to farm Kudzu and nutria to eat. You can never run out of either of those. Shit grows like a foot a day. I do know one thing, things get bad a coon ass will find a way to eat it and most likely make it halfway edible. I think LA ranks second behind AK for percentage of food that comes...

That's changed a lot over the years. Was looking at pics just the other day and had pics of us throwing snowballs in the parking lot in school after getting there. 9" of snow and school wasn't cancelled. Similar to flash flooding I imagine. Unless a levee breaks in Louisiana not much flash flooding. In non hurricanes that flooding normally takes days to back up and get to you. When when it rained 36" on Baton Rouge over 2 days in 2016 it was all backflooding not flash flooding. Downriver is only...

Eye at Raceland now. If it keeps moving on it's current track it will be headed up the MS river soon which is not going to be good for chemical plants and refineries on the river or the amount of tugs that are docked at those places to sit out the storm.
