Radeon R9 270X vs GeForce GTX 660 Mko is right, 270x has a little bit of an edge, but it's not 50$ worth (Or 70$)..You can get a 660Gigabytefor 180. For price performance in that range, the Radeon 265 looks like the closest performance, at 160$--but they are hard to find, supposedly. If...

It's worse when you consider COL for elderly people doesn't inflate near as much as the cost of keeping them alive, thanks to all the subsidies. I know that sounds terrible to say and I'm not advocating old people should be put down, or whatever. But it's depressing when they are SO much...

I was replying toALL of this. Elderly family members relying solely on generational care was a staple 80 years ago, NOT 40. Like you claimed, here. ..... In that whole thread I was talking about the generational shift from old to young. You added a bunch of conspiracy theory MRA stuff about...

But you wouldn't have to face this if we corrected the problem now. No, 40 years ago is when retirement normalization began--the first generation to get more out of SS than they put in happened in 1980, 33 years ago. But the first real retiring generation that wasn't reliant on generational care...

Not commenting on the ACA; but we, as a society, do actually need to look at this now. This is the first time in history (literally history) that the oldest generation is going to be vastly more wealthy than the generation raising children. Before Grandmom and Grandpop became poor from not...

    Prometheus (Alien 0) - 1 Year Later

The problem is consistency. Artificial Gravity worked the same way throughout the movie--it was a constant, it functioned within it's universe well because nothing ever changed that required us to question it. Depending on the scene, this lady acts like her insides are being ripped out from the...

That guy is using this as a soap box to promote a pretty popular view in economics that got dealt a blow by the investment portions of the new laws (I'm kind of hazy here, I haven't been keeping up completely on it--so take this with a grain of salt in terms of the legal side.) Essentially, many...

As Raes said, with a few mods, Keyboard and Mouse works fine...but I'd highly suggest the MS windows controller. It works with a ton of games now, and for most of them outside of FPS and RTS, it's just as good or better (And you can play in your lounge chair.)

    Dark Souls

The biggest thing to remember is to look at the game more like a strategy game and less like a twitch game. With no animation cancelling, your moves need to be precise. The biggest thing is just take your time, learn the patterns and use the environment. As Quin said, +5 is essentially the same...

btw, about armor; I think it's reduced effect is because the negatives for wearing it are a lot more lenient too. 70% fat roll instead of 50%. The only negative for wearing up to 70% is 20ish% slower stam regen (Equip load now effects this) and a small reduction in roll length (About 10% or so)...

Well, the reason for this is that the damage bonus isn't based on the weapon anymore. In Dark Souls, for example, how much of a bonus you got was derived from the base damage of the weapon. The new system though is based purely on the Parameter Scaling*Stat. So if you have a 100 damage weapon...

PA is a state licensed liquor state; which means even beer requires a license. It's not sold in convenience stores or super markets. Matrix prequel trilogy in the works for 2017

The Star Trek "trilogy" is usually considered ST 2, 3 and 4---as those three movies all have their plots connected. But that is assuming 1,2, and 3. Which is wrong and the chart should feel bad. On that note, this chart is obviously not relative between movies......because LOL at any Blade...

This I think is the biggest thing. If he writes like a book author, he probably has the mindset that the whole story will even out certain pieces of imagery. I think he might have just not anticipated what dumping that symbolism into the first few episodes and then letting people run with it for...

Well, not just that. But maybe, by the time it gets to the end, it's hard to seperate things like that because the information is out there. And that's fair. Like I said in my actual post; I think the ending was fine. It was rational and made sense that the girl was just acting out. What I was saying is that the little things in the first few episodes were muddled for a show that purported itself to be a straight up, simplistic...

I agree with this. The outcome was fine, but the reason why I felt the scenes were silly/clumsy is because the showeventuallysettled into a straight forward, no frills crime drama. However the first four episodes had foreshadowing that was pretty muddled and could be interpreted in a lot of...

Yeah, his vision. I think it was another version of the "swirl" imagery we saw over and over. I took it to mean the same thing as he said at the end (Optimism is as real as pessimism). We always assumed the swirl kind of lead into a pit of black "nothing". But instead, he saw it was actually a...

Yeah, this though is one of the reasons why I wished they would have explored his mythos closer. As near as I can tell. Grandpa Tuttle was the Yellow King. Thanks, didn't see that. Just watched it. In the end he even talks...

I felt like the thing it left out was just the depth behind the killer. Like for example, we know he was part of a cult that killed for decades and was never caught, never left clues ect. So why did he put Dora out there is such a prominent way to be found? Why did he do it again 15 years later...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yeah, I can see that. One of the things I hated in SWTOR was the fact that the UI didn't even have parameter changes at first. There is definitely some push and pull there, nothing will ruin a game quicker than a crappy UI. It was always maddening to have a great game, and then have a UI that...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

I think there is a bit of a middle ground there, no? There is a reason why Esports don't allow mods, and there is a reason why most guilds require them. It's not just personal choice; mods make players fundamentally more powerful. It'sNOTjust a "reduction in tedium" to, for example, change an...

I thought you could in DS2, for long animations like back stab/pulling a lever ect? (Because you're no longer invincible during it.) Or are you talking about for normal swings? I always liked the the lack of animation cancelling in DS1--it turned a twitch game into more of a strategy game...
