Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

Acting like we are different is probably the biggest reason why we will be extinct. Edit: FU hodj for being there first.

I dont see how this is not assumed to be an almost guaranteed outcome. Something like 95% of species have gone extinct? I doubt we are that much different.

Company Raises It's Minimum Wage to $70,000 and All Hell Breaks Loose

Inflation can be a good thing. We could use some in this country right now, especially if its due to increasing wages. Also your attempt at sarcasm is stupid since the example you picked has nothing to do with what we are talking about. The ditch digging was used as an example of what the...

Company Raises It's Minimum Wage to $70,000 and All Hell Breaks Loose

Nothing about what I said was political. You decided to make it so. As far as inflation, yeah it will cause some demand push inflation. This will lead to increases in supply which means more jobs created. Sure sounds terrible to me. (Of course this will only happen if its implemented all...

Its not so much that current employees will be quitting, its more than new employees will be much harder to hire at min wage rates for non min wage jobs.

I do not see anyone talking about what will happen to current 15 an hour jobs if min wage is raised to 15. Companies will have to start paying more money than now since people wont be willing to get paid the same as burger flippers for complex jobs.

Its true, R is terribad with large amounts of data, that is what Rcpp is for. The popularity is due to the fact that the packages are unmatched. Python is the second closest language in terms of data related capabilities and its not even close to R in terms of quality/quantity of libraries. R is...

Some languages might require logic for resizing the underlying container (hence the reference in the instructions to size variable). Maybe thats the point, otherwise it seems kind of silly. Anyway for shit like this i prefer UVa, SPOJ, HackerRank and TopCoder.

Isnt the whole point of the interview questions to find out how the applicant deals with solving problems? No one cares to see what a reversed linked list is, everyone cares to see if the applicant can write code that reverses a linked list.

Using the reverse_each method wouldnt be very useful if the goal is to see how the engineer uses logic, no? I think the entire purpose of those complicated questions is to see if the person can reason through problems, not so much to see the solution. Also what would you think if the ruby...

I am of an opinion that explicit references to self are terribad so usage of "this" should be minimized as much as possible.
