The casting is such a huge part of it that often gets overlooked. Much like Patrick Stewart as Picard/older Professor X or Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, you associate the actor as that character and can't imagine anyone else playing them. Same goes for RDJ as Stark or Chris Evans as Steve Rogers...
