It's definitely wonky. Most people finally unlock talents and have 15+ to spend. Features aren't unlocked until what feels like way later than they should. Leveling 1-25 (maybe even 30) is super fast and then stalls out.

That's what I keep pointing out. Market will rip in either direction based on contrary indicators. Maybe the algorithms are just so complex now that they're taking shit into consideration people don't see anymore? Either way, I've got no interest in trying to time it.

We first went to Disneyland around 2015 I think, and went to Universal only a year or two later (California). The massive difference between the two was the interactions with their staff. Disney really had a magical formula. And apparently that's one of the big glaring things that's absent now.

After a while the broom controls feel good. My only issue with them is finesse when you're hovering. And I figured out it's because depending on where the camera is will reverse the controls, and not oriented to your character/broom. The balloons definitely became harder with max upgrades...

Are you getting the chests that show up on the minimap? Those camps usually just have one, and they give out stuff for RoR or wands.

There's also apparently one to unlock the cage at some poacher camp, and if you clear it without the sub quest, it just becomes un-completable. I think I may have actually encountered it like an hour after reading that. Not sure though, but I made sure not to unlock the cage either way.

Found the other half of our 1890's openly lesbian, somehow married, couple.

39 hours and had my first crash. Was just cruising around looking for balloons and landing platforms. I feel like I've flown around the entire map and I still have eight platforms left. What the fuck?

This. I figured the chime was for anything popping up, but it's literally for the field guides, and you can use it as sonar.

About 38 hours in and I think I've got 4 main quests to go. Saw someone say they did it all in 18 hours, with like 2/3 of the side quests. No idea how. I guess they didn't get lost in the castle as much as I did. I'm at 2/3 of the challenges done. Feel like there's a boat load of stuff to do...

I've had other students on missions during fights make comments, but I don't think there was a detriment to it ("Oh, you use dark magic?"). At least not yet.

So has anyone unlocked their house cloak yet that's not Ravenclaw? Curious to see what they look like. I haven't changed from it since unlocking it. It's by far the coolest looking one (there was another house cloak I unlocked with a larger Ravenclaw on it, but not sparkly).

I spent so much time getting Alohomora 3, and then found myself completely underwhelmed. It's super nice if you're wanting to unlock all those completion chests or whatever they're called (for RoR unlocks and wand handles), but otherwise...meh.
