Confused now, this is starting to sound more like GW2 than EQN - Can you only have 4 active abilities to use at a time or you only "start" with 4 abilities then can add more by finding other classes until you have X amount in total.
Bit overboard, as you could easily see that game isnt even beta ready, and not in the FnF alpha stage either. More so its possibly just a lot of chunks of certain areas that they turned from concept to reality. I did not notice them mention raids or how the dungeons would work at all, then again...
This shit looks pretty awesome, regardless of them picking and evolving aspects from other games, it still looks awesome.
No, you arent alone, that shit looks sweet.
They playtested some shit for EQ2 with our supposed website revamp. However it never got finished, and for almost half a year EQ2 had a non working site. I wouldnt put too much hope in anything said outside of them putting out a product to make money.
Pretty much this, forgelight was built for EQN and PS2 was its testing grounds. It will have great visuals but the design could resemble WoW meets EQ easily. I liked what i saw with the engine in PS2 personally so im fairly optimistic it we wont have a disaster like EQ2 again.
As for the P2W...

Pretty interesting, seems indies are the big winner this console gen even more so than the consumers.
Thanksfully, alot of people enjoyed Man of Steel and thus this sounds like nothing short of pure gold. However w/o Bale i cannot begin to imagine who will play as batman unless its his obvious successor from TDKR.
I don't like this. Sure i want to play it as much as the next but skipping a decent sized beta will mean alot of untested mechanics, content and server load. That is unless of course they plan largely ahead for worse case scenarios(which Sony is known for having).
This is more talked about...
I'd gladly welcome a world where you're scared to travel and explore knowing you could day at any moment. Sure this would likely end by the time you max level and geared up some. However the entire trip along the way would be awesome knowing shit could fuck you up and not just ran up to every...
Yeah thats why i said that i'm not sure how shit is now. I decided to level new toons to get used to game again and now i just have a bunch of L86ish toons and havent bothered maxing out yet. WoW to me is fun again since its been a while and alot of shit is revamped. Ofcourse now im 100%...
WoW raiding was very easy, but i am comparing it to raiding in EQ2. I think the hardest part of WoW raiding back when i was doing it alot (MC -> Nax40) was just farming tons of herbs for various pots etc. I am pretty sure i spent more time chasing lotus than doing challenges on raids. Then again...
Its back on Netflix, but ive seen it like 3x already =/ Series is soooo soo good! I wish to hell they'd put up jap audio on Guin Saga - cant stomach the english version for shit.
Keyword "were" - only us old timers care about that shit anymore and we are vastly considered the minority these days when it comes to aspects of MMOs like this. People should have realized such things as that some years ago, as if playing WoW has not taught us anything at all.
Going to have...
By? What game do you know of that has a ton of dungeons by level range? Enough to not need instancing b/c they are so abundant? I understand what qwerty is trying to pitch, its just not something i ever see happening.
Furthermore camping/claiming spawns like way back was pretty $ - Most of...
With player population like it is nowadays instances are pretty much essential. You'd have to have an extreme amount of servers/instances per range of levels to compensate for the possibility of the amount of players at any given time. On top of that then when people are all high enough that...
I hope its not a WoW clone, and i also hope its not incomplete, tho i am sure it will be. It would suck for it to be tho with new console MMO style games coming out, and shit like Destiny and The Division which also offer persistent worlds and likely no monthly cost. This is a very "off"...
Would call it pre-alpha but not the alpha that has FnF involved thus i really dont consider it as being in alpha. November is possible, but i would hope they would try to be as complete as possible. Smokejumper is over there, and i doubt they want to fuck up another release and have a horde of...
Fine i'll rephrase - To expect this prior to September of 2014 is borderline lunacy. I was told 2015 by quite a few not long ago but i also said 2014 would be prime due to how the MMO market is. This would be a good time for a new EQ from SoE and if they could put it out in 2014 that would be...
I seriously doubt that, especially since its not gone into alpha yet and was told quite the different date than what you're saying. Its possible but pretty unlikely, and almost impossible to expect it before summer of 2014.
I am looking forward to how this thread turns after its reveal next month. Then the total frothing at the mouth that will spew on the keyboards for 2 years till release. A good portion of the team on EQN is just relocated from EQ2, i'd be surprised if AA was gone completely, and i seriously...
Vanilla WoW leveling pace was fine to me, and people tend to forget that most mmo's dont have anything until "end game", which is something i frankly detest. While i like end game raiding, dungeons etc, i feel mmo's need to focus on a nice spread of events across all levels. EQ2 be it the...
