Picasso's Justification for a Communist Manifesto

Communism is anathema to American values. They cannot coexist, and anyone who believes they can does not understand American values, or does not appreciate them.

    Passengers (2016)

Plot holes aside I liked this movie. I would recommend it. Amen.

    Suicide Squad (2016)

I can't remember the film that well. Except for the latino dude who shot fire out of his hands, which was pretty cool. But, I remember watching this movie and thinking that there is no part of the plot connected to the Joker. It's just Harley Quinn trying to escape. Right? I'm pretty sure they...

Well, at least he tries. He was on an episode of Half in the Bag, and turned out to be one of the most annoying human beings ever caught on tape.

Of course it has good reviews. If anyone says it's a bad movie then they will be branded as a racist.

    Alien: Covenant (2017)

I can't see anything in that clip. No wonder that movie was so forgettable. You're not looking at anything.

Watched it for obvious reasons. Did not like it.

    Arrival (2016)

This is nonsensical gibbering. You either get this movie or you don't. Not understanding it or not enjoying it doesn't mean you are not smart. Anyone that claims that is an elitist, and has their own prejudices. But it's note the Notebook for nerdy girls. The whole romantic plot was a...

    All things Brandon Sanderson

The female characters were the worst part of the series. I would just skip those chapters because of how tedious/annoying/boring they were.

    All things Brandon Sanderson

Is it worth listening to the Wheel of Time books? I read through 6 or 7 of them when I was in highschool, but I just don't have the time nowadays to finish reading the series.

    Subnautica

I was swimming in the ocean once, and was using a snorkel/goggles. Just plopping along when I came to an underwear cliff. Water was five feet deep and then it just dropped. Couldn't see the bottom, and the water over the cliff was cold. I don't snorkel anymore. Solidarity, bro.

    All things Brandon Sanderson

Yeah, I looked him up and came to the conclusion I won't read his books. Anyway, I've been listening to Way of Kings on audible. So good. I read the book when it came out years ago, but lost my copy. Anyway, I recommend the audio book. 45 hours long but this is the sort of fantasy that doesn't...

    John Wick: Chapter Two (2017)

What I think they are doing with the bulletproof suit is stretching our limits of believe-ability. You're already on board with fifty year old assassin murdering Russian gangsters. Then you're on board with a secret group of assassins with some intense amounts of power. Then they introduce the...

    John Wick: Chapter Two (2017)

Agreed. They laid some serious foundation for a third movie. Yet, I think they had to. The only other option was to have John Wick have some other reason (car, house, dog again) to go on a bloody, revenge-fueled rampage. Along the way, we only get tidbits of world building, like the first one...

    Shia LaBeouf protest of Trump

You can't compare healthcare in the various European countries to healthcare in the United States. Show me a country in Europe of equal size, population, and population diversity to the USA that also expends enough money to keep the world a semi-stable place and then suggest to me how they...

    John Wick: Chapter Two (2017)

I quoted you to agree. The realism is neat. I liked that they took the time to make it clear that John Wick reloads, and he sets up his victories with forethought and preparation. He just doesn't wing it. Maybe that's what has made him a legend. I did not notice that the cars don't explode, but...

    John Wick: Chapter Two (2017)

Just saw it. They played into their strengths (action and world building) but I wasn't as impressed with the music in this one as I was in the first. It's a minor point. Anyway, really fluid, hard-hitting action. It's fun to see John Wick become a modern day Achilles and slaughter legions of bad...

I had a pretty good Tuesday. John Wick - 8/10 Watched this again because the second one is about to come out. My local theater is running it tomorrow, and I wanted to catch up. This movie is really quite excellent. The action is fast paced and captivating. The story is simple, but that isn't a...

    John Wick: Chapter Two (2017)

Exactly. It's the mystery and the allure of the unknown that make great stories. Like the Wheel of Time, everyone was hyped for this awesome, final battle in the last book but once we got it, it did not live up to our expectations. I suspect it never could have. No one could write a climax that...

The Resurrection of Gavin Stone (2017)

Yeah, meant Hacksaw Ridge. No, it wasn't that good of a movie. It was two hour long movies pushed together, both with conflicting messages of anti-war, pro-war sentiment.

    The Accountant (2016)

Affleck exhibited good acting. Anna Kendrick is cute but I can't figure out why. Other than that, this movie was mediocre.
