    Star Wars : Rogue One

I doubt it but who knows really. I could see them being concerned about having everyone die so I don't think you have to look for anything more than that. And if what Daisy Ridley said not too long ago is true (she thought TFA gave a very clear indication of her family history all on it's own)...

    Star Wars : Rogue One

It turns out that there was a point in the very early drafts of the screenplay that at least some of the Rogue One team made it out alive. Gareth Edwards talked about it on some podcast. But it wasn't a situation where the studio execs were insisting on a more upbeat ending: I mean, it’s a...

I missed him to. And the call for General Syndulla. And the other Easter Egg. Just too much shit going on to catch little seamlessly inserted nods like those. I would have probably missed the Ghost to (well I did when they showed it on the ground at Yavin) if it hadn't been in a trailer that...

The chain wasn't always visible in the OT. The cape would slip down and pull it up under the edge of the helmet's collar, particularly if he was moving around a lot.

I dunno about that. I'm pretty sure that after all this time Luke still holds the one man record with Lando and Wedge leading the tag team category. Starkiller Base might have been big but seemed sparsely manned and they had more of a lead time before the boom, so no joy for Poe.

I'm honestly torn on Maul because of how well he's been redeemed in Rebels. I didn't watch The Clone Wars episodes with him until after I had seen him in Rebels S2 and I've never read any of the Star Wars comics (he had his own story arc in those I believe) and while I like the Witches of...

    Star Wars : Rogue One

Maul as a character is pretty good when he's around in Rebels. I hate the way they brought him back in The Clone Wars though. It was cheesy as hell (yes, he had a spider-like body) and I didn't care for how he was used in that series at all.

Shit, I didn't even think about those. Yeah, the cut-scenes from TOR are fuckin' epic. Not canon though. I'll play the canon card here.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

I agree. That's probably the best light saber battle put to film to date. The music and the action worked together to create the pinnacle of light saber combat that we have seen. But if you want to cheat and add in the animation series, Ahsoka and Vader in S2 of Rebels is pretty high up there to.

Merely allowing others the chance to prove what I have said several times; WTG isn't a one man exercise. Others are just as capable as I.

He said "a villian". Not the primary antagonist in any of the movies. Gunray was the face of the Separatists until Dooku made the scene. It's not as if I said the rancor handler from RoTJ or some shit. Krennic was overshadowed by Tarkin in spite of having more screen time. And yes, Gunray...

That would have been me, though someone else may have as well. I haven't heard any rumors about where she may show up at a later date. Now that we know she dies in R1 if I was a betting man I would put my money on the Boba Fett movie that I'm afraid they'll end up making. Him capturing her is...

If you don't have John Williams composing your score not very it seems. Make no mistake I didn't care for the score very much. It wasn't bad per se it was just "there". It wasn't memorable and it didn't do anything to connect you emotionally into any of the scenes as they unfolded (and to be...

I forgot to mention that, in addition to Red and Gold Leaders there were also a few pilots shown who were also taken from some original Ep IV footage that had been cut out of that movie entirely. They finally got their screen time.

Yeah. I'm not talking about one of the Hutts having his henchmen smash a guys toes off with a hammer though, more just the premise with a context that allows a bad guy to become someone whose success you can get behind. A bad deed goes south and the guy gets screwed over and goes bounty...

It was because, like some have said, he just looked cool. He sounded like a bad ass when he spoke (in ESB) and he had the stones to get lippy with Vader. And his action figure (the first one) was the only one that could shoot shit.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

If a bounty hunter movie just has to be made, with an otherwise unsavory character as the focus, I think something in the mold of Mel Gibson's Payback would be the best fit even though that might be a little harsh for a Star Wars movie.

I understand the allure they have for some but I don't really share it myself. Not to the point of wanting to see a movie centered around them. And certainly not a Boba Fett movie. Some characters benefit from the mystery that surrounds them and he's one of them. You occasionally pull back...

I think of all those potential ideas the one you're most likely to get is your bounty hunter movie. The Boba Fett movie made it all the way to the point of having a teaser trailer made for it that was never shown because they kicked Josh Trank from the director's chair to the curb at the...

I always felt like Jackson was cast as Mace Windu because because he was such a big name at the time and Lucas, in spite of it being a Star Wars movie, was trying to go for box office draw while addressing the old criticism of his original trilogy being too pale. So he brought in a hot, high...

I didn't see the closing scene with Cassian and Jyn as an attempt to inject the indications of romance to add weight to their deaths. I saw two people who had just gone through a hell of an ordeal and in spite of their success they would not live to see it bear fruit. As they were about to...

Cassian wasn't really a front line spy himself. He was one of the Fulcrums for Rebel Intelligence (the same position that Ahsoka Tano and now Agent Kallus have on the Rebels TV show). He would recruit others, coordinate the activities of other agents beneath him, and act as a point of contact...

It shores up ANH in a lot of ways. As several have mentioned it addresses in a satisfying way one of the oldest criticisms of the original movie; the exhaust port and why it was there. It also adds meaning to Leia's appeal to Obi-Wan about it being the Rebellion's "most desperate hour". When...

To quote the opening line of another movie franchise (LoTR): "The world has changed." Most people didn't have cable television when Star Wars came out in 1977. Even fewer had any sort of home gaming system (the Atari 2600 wouldn't come out until later that same year). And home computers...
