The fact that you think root DOTing and snare kiting are exploits says quite a bit about the validity of your opinions regarding early era EQ.

I played EQ for thousands of hours. Thousands. There were times that we exploited pathing to defeat encounters, sure... But those times were the exception. I was having plenty of fun the 95% of the time I was pathing encounters the way they were intended to be.

Sorry... I'm confused. Which were these 'bugs' that made EQ 'playable'? The only real examples I can think of are FD splitting and swarm/agro kiting... The removal of either would have had little effect on EQ's gameplay.

This is one of the most pro-classic EQ MMORPG communities out there, and even here, there are probably less than 10 people who advocate for a full classic era re-skin.
