Yeah, I'm staying away from that aspect. Only picked it up because a couple of friends did. You have to buy some boosters just to get the most out of what you can bring to the table (6 cards, 15 dice) which is the only reason I'm even considering it since the starter kit only gets you 12 dice at...

X-wing just seems like a huge money grab to me. I've held off buying any of them, mostly because I don't know anyone who plays, though I could see getting my son into it in a couple of years. Haven't done anything expandable since I was a teenager, though this weekend I picked up the D&D...

Vikings don't intend to let AP go. Time to look at draft options. I like the Greg Hardy signing. Team friendly (for the moment) with insurance in the event he's suspended (via the Gameday Roster Bonus, and who are we kidding, Mara will ensure Hardy does six games) and Dallas is one of the few...

Something I've come to embrace is that good teams don't let themselves get into close games. Statistically speaking, it's pretty much 50/50 if the scores are within a TD of each other. That holds true for even consistently good teams like the Patriots. So it's a bit of a fallacy to embrace...

That's all well and good but it's not as if he's all by himself in that department. NFL teams pay a lot of money to people who's sole purpose in life is to care for the bodies of their players, but sometimes there's just nothing that can be done. Did you know that the Rams actually had less...

Which is essentially when Romo started having the best stretch of his career. DMC signing is pretty damn reasonable. Hardly any guaranteed money, and the wording makes it seem incentives laden. Obviously don't expect him to produce last year's numbers from Murray but if between him and the...

Something I read today got me thinking about how Dallas' fan's perception have changed in recent years. About how Murray leaving and Dallas not bending over backwards to open the checkbook to keep him make it clear that Jerry is no longer making all the decisions. Even three years ago I could...

I disagree. Suh is definitely one of those generational guys who can have an immediate and tangible impact on the team. This is far from being similar to the Haynesworth debacle as there's no question about his drive and will to play. And it's not like the Lions were willing to let him go. They...

With that line? I stop shy of saying anyone, but as long as they're not stupid I bet you get 1000 yards out of whoever takes over. The offense feeds off the run game, and they stick to it, but the last six games of the season, when Murray wasn't nearly as productive, that offense showed their...

You have to be trolling with that last comment. Murray started the season with a fumble in the first 4(5?) games and he also fumbled in the game against GB. Here something else to think about. Football Outsiders graded Dallas the BEST team in the league for Adjusted Line Yards. Philly ranked...

I was out and about during my last post and made it on the fly. Now that I'm back and have had a few moments to look at articles, this deal makes no sense for the Eagles to make. That's not the (extremely) bitter Dallas fan in me speaking either. Murray deal: 5 yrs, $42m, $21m guaranteed...

Murray flying out to Philly. If they end up signing him I might be a little sad. That said, if he gets more from them than $7m/yr then they're paying more for him and Matthews than for McCoy. I also think Dallas can match that figure, so we'll see.

What I heard is that he and his agent were asking too much. Given the tepid market for him so far, this is probably true. Still, there's probably one or two teams willing to pay up. Dallas probably isn't one of them though.

Saints D that year was lower middle of the pack. They did, however, sit at or near the top in takeaways. They won mostly by blowing out their opponents.

Yeah, the Lynch deal is basically acknowledgement that he's cog 1a in their offense with Wilson being 1b. They still have to do something about Wilson too. Linemen have contact on every play but their bodies in general are better at absorbing the impact, which is actually not as much as an RB or QB who are generally smacked by someone going at full speed, versus two bodies being at full stop and jumping up to push on each other.
