Argus is a long ass hill but there are clear markers along the way. Made no % progress this week into p3, but we stopped using the tree resses to get to the same spot so now we're at the whole raid res step and the tree is actually there. We're at 283 pulls, so another 100 or so to go maybe.

They've said one off legendaries maybe, whatever that means, probably like MoP cloak or wod ring things.

WoW raids were almost entirely just target dummies until wotlk and even then it was still baby steps for needing people to do stuff.

I miss having the 10 man versions of the hardest difficulty, heroic nowadays is a joke and gets boring way too fast but trying to keep a stable roster for mythic is just not worth it if you just want to do stuff with your few close friends. Mythic plus is a good addition except the rewards...

Played this 1.5-2 years ago. This is the one mmo when I played it where there is an actual challenging solo end goal, which is to complete vma. Think I did it at 130-140 AAs and I've never had so much adrenaline from a video game before.

You will love the aids that Argus provides. 200 pulls in, finally getting through phase 1 consistently and cleanly making the dps check but now all the wipes are 7-8 minutes into the fight.

My only interest in the game now is m+ so I just hope they balance all the dungeons so that classes with only 3 minute defensives aren't fucked all expansion.

Specific classes making certain fights significantly easier is fine, Agg is doable just much harder without blood dks. Stuff like the wod furnace fight that absolutely required mind control is bad design.

180 pulls on Argus, see phase 3 for the first time. Think that's about 1/4 of the prog to a kill.

Blink doesn't break stuns if you take shimmer, which all mages take for pve.

Looking at the time trial leaderboards for the MDI you can see this is a very balanced game.

Our raid leader quit for school right after Aggramar died and our guild leader stepped in to raid lead for now. You can tell how much it's stressing him out after just 2 raid nights.

Seems a rather big invite wave went out for alpha. In my small group of friends, 2 + me all got them. I am Alliance scum or I'd join on an alt.

We usually have 6 dps, 1 healer, 1 tank go up, with all the dps having cooldowns ready. You're never gonna parse anyways if you get sent up, so no need blowing cooldowns on cooldown. Obviously pick dps that have big cooldowns that aren't 3 minute ones, so mostly melee, hunters, mages.

Just complete the instance. 194 total for Aggramar, looks like Argus will be 800+ pulls at this rate. We had a mage that was in for 160 of the Agg pulls, but derped and got saved to a pug from group finder this week and missed the kill, I'm sure I'm not the only one that laughed.

160 is probably high, but then any guild just getting to it now isn't gonna beat it in the average number of pulls. It really is the first harder boss of the instance, every boss before it took 20 or less pulls except Vari which took 40ish.

I'm just a cog, I show up and press my buttons, very little influence in whether they extend or not.

Average raid ilvl is 974, so not sure more farm is worth more than the pulls. It's really just a matter of people getting bored.

Guild is working on Aggramar, 160 wipes so far and plans to extend the ID till it and Argus dies. I don't see them surviving that long before massive burnout.

There are 5+ groups in group finder trying to sell at all times, it takes more effort to find buyers than anything else.

I did a 97 or 98 on Crusader last season, only RG I remember having problems with was Perdition.

The tank in my m+ group is insane, still maintains 4 alts through pug raids every week.

It is useless for single target outside of its stats, one of the best for prolonged/frequent aoe.

Will probably do a monk, was in the middle of gearing up a monk alt when I got bored and quit and they get the bells set as free set this time.

Dungeons are not worth it while levelling, doing an ele shaman with hierlooms, trash lives long enough to get 4-5 earthquakes down. For comparison, stuff rarely lived long enough to even build enough maelstrom for 1 before.

You can use Akkarat's Addendum with blade in cube and it works just fine if you have one of those. I've never felt damage was the limiting factor, taking time to fight a single champ pack is never a good idea. Run and gather till half way through fire, load up condemns and all defensives and...

I did a 95 with one level 80 enchant and half ancients, damage isn't an issue with the build it's entirely survival once you get higher. To that end, using the hardcore version of the build is much more fun than playing glass cannon mode.

Thought the azerite thing is just a crucible but for every slot, and the choices you get are always the same in any one slot. Is this wrong?

Hunter will be a bad choice for a returning player next tier. The new tier sets are terrible for MM and BM, so they will still need farm t20. Arms war will be a solid choice, scale well with ilvl and tier set is good.

The legendary tokens are account bound. Got one for a DK, I don't have a DK. Now I hate Blizzard again.
