Chased a shiny Gengar today for 19 raids, got one for my wife and friend but not for myself 😥 Even so, I managed five over 91% so I'm a happy camper. I did get a shiny murkrow last night and a shiny pinsir today, though.

I was boosting my last Metagross today and at level 21, against Togetic (my reason for boosting them), it passed my level 30+ smack down Ttars that are all over 3k. Fuckin beast.

While a lucky would be nice, without MM it won't be very useful. I'd focus on powering any MM you have to ~3k CP and laugh while you steamroll gyms.

You guys made out like bandits with the 2x candy Halloween event going on. MM is my #1 preferred gym clearer now. Earlier I had a single Metagross take out a blissey, ryhorn and tyranitar by itself.

Yeah, Lick does make the situation better and if you can TM it I'll be stoked, but I doubt it. After the CP rebalance, I think that Lick will allow you to get one more Shadow Ball in before fainting but I don't know how the TDO will work out.

Turns out all Gengar for his raid day is going to have Psychic as a charge attack, which is GARBAGE. Worst moveset he gets by far. His shiny is so lame i definitely won't use any premium passes. If I don't get a shiny from the 5 free passes, fuck it.

Yeah 30 should be the first goal. Once you're there, you'll be able to catch up to level 30 wild - up to 35 if they are weather boosted. This is why people say don't power up anything until 30. Cost to take something from: • 1-30 is 120k dust / 122 candy • 20-30 is 75k / 66 • 30-40 is 150k / 182

3 shinies each for wife and I. Got a lucky trading after spawns ended. So my total is 5 MM Metas which includes one of the shinies, the lucky and a 98%. Have about 150 candy left but that's all gonna get dumped into the 98% that's only level 15.

Yes, but the highest you can ever catch is 35. Without weather boost, the highest wild catch is 30. Boosted raids are 25, regular raids/eggs are 20, and research rewards are 15. Nope, tomorrow is the debut. I'm hoping to at least end up with 3 good ones.

For a variety of reasons, general advice is to not power up anything until you're 30+. There are a few exceptions to the rule but waiting will save you a ton of stardust and candy. Tomorrow during Beldum day though, you will want to evolve as many Metagross as you can during the 3 hour window...

There are usually 3 windows of time for each raid. Latest I've gotten was 3pm. The rest were all 12 or 1 but all of my invites - except one that I was conveniently working from home during - have been on weekends.
