State Of Decay 2 - May 22nd Release

I don't run gunslinger on everyone. Base queens get sharpshooter for the enemy piercing shots. You also don't really need gunslinger once you've got a sniper tower or a rooftop sniper enclave. Powerhouses really don't need it, because they've got heavy weapons for dealing with ferals...

State Of Decay 2 - May 22nd Release

Pathology, absolute must to start with. You really want the reduced costs for plague curing. Increased collection is a bonus, but my pathologist is a base queen, he very rarely wanders around outside. He's actually kind of a bad character too, I just haven't found anyone better with medicine...

Yeah, you have to be super choosy at the start. I'd let them fail and recruit them. Good news...automechanics are useful members.

If I'm doing the math right, 2" thick, 30inch wide or so, 3 feet long... probably 16ish board feet, $250/slab.

State Of Decay 2 - May 22nd Release

I'm at work right now, but later tonight I'll load up the game and think about the other stuff I've forgotten. Oh...Builder leader. The sniper tower is what you need on lethal, especially when you're first starting out. 5 minutes cooldown 50 cal sniper fire will save your bacon every time. I...

State Of Decay 2 - May 22nd Release

So, I had Nightmare down pretty good and had stuff like you describe. Felt Red Talons were unstoppable, had the game on lock, etc. But I had read enough to know that Lethal is its own animal, so I rolled up 3 random survivors....good enough that I had my bases covered for skills, but not good...

Yeah, this log went pretty well. One small issue, but that will plane out. I will probably turn these into tabletops, or sell them for such purposes. They are about 38" long, 22-24" wide. I cut them all into 2ish" thick. One log left, the guys just came over to help me get it up.

Fun facts - I've run out of a gallon of bar and chain oil. I also got a full pint of 2 cycle oil and I will run out of that as well before the project is over.

Log #3. This one I will cut into 2 inch slabs for live edge tabletop stuff I think. Also, the log is wider than my 36" bar, so looks like I'll be finishing the cut with a rip saw!

If State of Decay has taught me anything, it's that one Molotov and me calling in some sniper cover from a neighboring enclave will allow me to get home safely, no matter how much I run around with my Golden AK-47!

I saw the Source in the fucking theater, so my fanboy status isn't in question either. And it's fucking AWFUL. It's quite possibly the worst piece of shit ever possibly conceived of. There can be only one.... What the fuck.

Yeah well, we decided that we don't want to make shit anymore, and we want to outsource everything to literally half a planet away. It's one of those YGWYFD scenarios. Until we start making shit here again and stop being a workforce or retail peons, it's not gonna change. And since everyone's...

It's Chinese. It would probably work. Also, I'm about 98% sure the original piston/cylinder was shit, because it took me about an hour of pulling to get the thing started after I took it outta the box. After the replacement, I've had no issues and it just starts right up. 25:1 smokes up the...

Because I know you guys wanna see this shit, uploading the video now while I run to the hardware store and let the saw cool down. Should be up in 10 or 20 min. It's about 10 minutes to make a cut, but I'm babying the throttle for a good chunk of the time to not run it full bore for 10 minutes...

Piston and cylinder replaced, saw back to running smooth. Now I just need a day where it's not 1000° Odd thing though - it literally started up first pull. It did not do that when I bought it. Job Hunting

I think yesterday was probably the last event in my whole job hunting experience this year. I've been in the same building for just about 19 years, across 4 different companies. Union gig, and it was something I was fine with for a long time - do your work and go home. 2 and a half years ago...

My logs are only about 20 inches after the bark is off, so I guess we're out! Also, new cylinder here and I took the saw apart. Both rings melted to the piston, so be advised, 40:1 is not suitable for milling. Need a piston ring compressor for small engines, got that coming tomorrow, before I...

Yeah, that'll be the next step of all of this. Thankfully from what I've read, walnut seems to be semi forgiving of this. As soon as I get it all milled, i've gotta find some room outside. Right now it's in the garage, which isn't too terrible - it's not like it's any different...

Yeah, I am probably gonna need to up the oil mix. It's so hard finding adequate data on what to do with this shit. The saw says use 25:1. The retailer says use 40:1.
