1-20 was always the weed-out levels for warriors. Once they hit 20 and can dungeon spam, they start their real power curve. And yes, at 40-60 they become the machines we all remember.

On PvE servers you can see both factions with /who. PvP is the only one that hides the opposite faction.

It's scattered throughout the content. I think the NE starter area had the least amount added, but they added an entire new faction (Auberdine) to the Duskwood area. If you want to see custom content right out of the box, create a gnome or troll. They each got their own starter areas (1-5)...

No layers was confirmed during the stress test. They have broken up the world into smaller chunks of what you "see" through netcode. Which is why when you travel between different areas (Dun Morogh -> Loch Modan) you will see anyone near you phase in and out of view if they are running with...

Ascension uses the same core in their versions, they've just kept all their changes/updates in house. They knew exactly what to do once they installed their logging tools and saw the shit show that is the open source version. And to @TJT point, yeah this WAS a herculean effort to get this thing...

The test server was up for over 12 hours today with minimal downtimes to fix issues. The only "performance issues" were when they were intentionally running logging software to try and capture crash logs. Even then, for the last 6 hours, it ran smooth. TWoW players are SHOOK.

If you're doing Kezan(PvE), it's cross-faction, so who cares. Gurubashi(PvP) will not be cross-faction to maintain faction PvP.

The only thing bad about Epoch was the infrastructure and server stability. When it was actually running, the gameplay and content were top notch.

I don't understand why they would be salty. Going onto the Ascension launcher is a HUGE win for Epoch. Apparently there is enough development there for the Ascension guys to accept them onto their platform.

Which is really fine. Since they lowered xp rates to 1x (wotlk 1x) for BB. Given they already have Ony and MC ready to go on launch and will still have BWL, ZG, AQ, and Naxx to go as well, TBC and WotLK can wait.

I like that in 3.3.5, I don't have to download the quest tracker to see stuff on the map. I still do, but it's no longer required. 3.3.5 also feels better when in combat and smoother transition between spells.

I've never once used the word "unplayable." The game isn't that hard or complicated. But there ARE a lot of useful QoL that 1.12 simply doesn't offer that add-ons / later versions do.

Epoch has basically lost all momentum and hype. Serves them right. As far as TWoW's client, the 1.12 client is so piss poor that you have to install a shitton of add-ons just to get any useful information out of it. It's probably best TWoW is going the direction of making their own client.

I honestly don't care about starting over. I've done it so many times it's just second nature now. Plus, if the guild I ran around in SoD wants to play, I'd start over anyway with them.
