I think it was Snow Crash that postulated that the "babel" effect that causes languages to diverge instead of converge effectively created a firewall slowing the spread of bad cultural memes.
Anyway, Joe's idea is fucking stupid because you would literally need language police to stop language...
The point is that it's an aggregate of state data, and the state data is available if you want to look at it.
Unless you think every state, which are controlled by totally different political forces, is publishing bullshit numbers.
I'm going off data and arguments from someone who has funded literally over 1000 startups as their fulltime job. That's what VCs do, they fund startups knowing that 17 out of every 20 will fail and disappear into oblivion, 2 will break even and hope the 20th pays off bigly. I am not going to...
My point is that most companies and most products fail. But people only pick up on the failures that align with their agenda. That's how confirmation bias works.
My other point is that a certain kind of reactionary constantly picks up on the new three-syllable-thing to hate. It's a weirdly...

i think we're going to see a lot of studios close due to larger market trends (we already have) and anytime one of them shows even the faintest hint of diversity in content or composition, it's going to trigger confirmation bias and cause NPCs to shout DEI because their lizard brains can only...

I really don't think anything changed from Horizon 1 to Horizon 2 aside from the lighting engine and facial animation system. Every character's face looks fatter due to a combination of the soft-glow lighting they use on characters combined with how they tried to make the faces more expressive...
lol you people are so picky about jawlines. Everyone wanted to give Aloy a chin-lift yet this chick has a man-jaw? When you're sensitive to literal millimeters of skin you might actually the one with the problem.
I was gonna say more or less this. This seems like a perfect example of a place to use the Mass Effect model, which worked great for 3 games. Both voice actors did fantastic jobs, with slightly different takes on the protagonist.
The problem is that no available models have the context size for anything text that size. Context size is a very difficult problem for works of any length. LLMs "lose the plot" relatively quickly, even ones that have extended context sizes like the paid versions of Claude.
This makes me think some kind of Bollywood cyberpunk movie could be fucking awesome. With that amount of shady tech shit in that country, how is that not a bigger thing?
The Cornucopia thing is because there was a very, very common coloring ditto in elementary school that looked a lot like the Fruit of the Loom logo with a cornucopia on it. So people merged those two images in their mind.
