Normal mode does have the level sync for sim missions, too. As for the completion %'s I 100%'d both first 2 outdoor areas. You get a ton of materia that way, and some of the craftable stuff really helps. Everything builds off the exploration, it's pretty well thought out. It's also amazing...

Honestly found very quickly in Grasslands which ledges were climbable/able to jump down from and which were going to be too high for either. Obviously there's some spots on the map that don't make it super obvious sometimes which way you have to go, but figured that's just part of exploring...

Easy mode exists, I think there is a "classic" mode that is whatever the "forever turn based only" people thought was fake wait mode, but can't recall. They also added a dynamic difficulty mode which supposedly adjusts to the player.

Other than a few really bad versions of it. I remember Josh Allen getting flagged where it was clearly an option route for his receiver, and they just had different ideas about whether he should continue the deeper option or cut the route off. He wasn't even directly under pressure.

It's been essentially perfect so far, and I'm basically as far in as you are. I liked how Midgar was, just wish there was a little more freedom of movement and less fetch sidequests. Seems like they listened to a lot of the feedback from Remake and have improved basically everything for this.

I must be old, too, running it in Graphics Mode and everything looks pretty damn nice. I can notice a little difference during combat from performance mode, but otherwise that shit doesn't affect anything I do.

Honestly the intel spots are very quick/easy to unlock, and they give you the option to fight 4 different versions of it regardless of how many you unlocked (basically levels of nerfing). Also each one powers up the actual materia you get, unlocking later abilities for the summoned monster...so...

I had this thought, too. Seems way too good to be true.

Honestly the fact that all the side stuff generally leads to rewards that are beneficial makes them not feel chore like. Always building towards some new materia/upgrade.

I mean, I expect his voice is supposed to be a little annoying, but I am loving all the stuff to do on the overworld because of "his" content. Having way too much fun 100% OW stuff.

Definitely won't be a fast playthrough, having way too much fun exploring and collecting.

It's possible you needed a save file from the PS5 version of Part 1. I know there was bonus summon materia for having a save file for Remake on PS5 and another one for a save file from the DLC. Not sure if only having played it on PS4 would apply.

Believe this only applies to actively pausing during a cutscene and hitting skip.
