Most of the people in the village just have the potential to gain powers, but have yet to go through the mist or whatever. At least that's how I understood it. How many people are in the village is pretty unclear though. I don't remember seeing any general shot that shows the whole thing.

Wat? Are they trying to land a rocket vertically? That sounds extraordinarily stupid, especially if the propelling is done under the center of gravity.

I can see the moral argument for preserving endangered species (even if it leaves me lukewarm), and I can see the value of biodiversity for science and health/food security, but... why should we care about a large herbivore mammal?
