This is part of letting your winners run. On swing trades, I tend to scale profits so you always have something to show for the trade as well as leaving a piece on the table to let it run. However, with these travel names, I am waiting a bit to scale the first profits because they were so beaten up.

I would have set a looser trailing stop. I see this as basically a day 1 awakening that travel sector was oversold. Though, I know your options were closer to expiry, so fair play for 50%!

DAL and NCLH running strong this morning. I see no reason whatsoever to trim. I see just the start of the travel sector rotation. Also up 7% on my TRVG position.

Wouldnt be surprised to see a slight consolidation / pullback after yesterday's mini rally. However, my Oct NCLH calls are ITM premarket today.

NCLH calls up nearly 50% already. Got till Oct expiration, so happy to sit and wait for more travel sector rotation inflows. Markets are definitely forward looking through this.

CDs at 0.5% .. yuck. I remember taking first contracting gig years back and nabbing a $20k 5yr CD for like 6% yield (2003/2004). I used to park my emergency funds in Vanguard Short Term Bond index that used to yield around 2%. This was well before corona and whatever shenanigans are happening...

IWM getting completely slaughtered and under the 200 DMA. Not sure if it is ready for a rotation back in for a bounce, or the wheels fall off and we have a big move lower. Trimmed some small cap names for a loss as the market feels really broken here.

August is still prime school break time for the UK, however Biden has had the entire UK on a red list since January. No vacationing Brits over here whatsoever. The UK on red list makes zero sense.

I am in DAL, NCLH, TRVG, and DIS for travel bump when delta variant fears subside. Tracking cases daily now and it looks like it has plateau'd for now.

Taking a swing here on DIS with it at 200 day support (plus oversold travel names). SPY also near 20 day support here. As always, leaving plenty of room to add lower in quality names. Already have a healthy profit margin on this from 7/19 sell-off and sold on the earnings high of day.

Funny enough. I had my trade station up premarket today when the news broke. Had the same $20 order sitting out there for a while. When the news broke premarket, it hit 20.01. Another penny fill miss. Irony of this lawsuit is, most spacs are guilty of the practice accused in the suit. PSTH...

All travel names are decently green today. As predicted, I think some investors are realizing delta variant isn't the end of the world. Oversold sector predictably moves higher.

Anyone else waiting an absurdly long time for their tax refund? Filed mine on May 23rd (previously filed an extension), it was e-filed and accepted on the same day. Here we are now over 2 months later and still haven't seen my tax return. Their tracking service still says it is processing...
