The archer dragonrider was much weaker, or weak to electricity maybe. He died much faster than the one that you encounter first.

For the Chariot just ignore the skeletons and dodge under the wheel spikes when he comes by. Run to the very end and kill the necromancer, kill the remaining skeletons and then use the lever near the end to close the gate and stop the chariot from circling. Pretty basic after that.

Enchanted Falchion and Black Scorpion Stinger suck balls against him, that's for sure. BK Halberd is doing okay but it's a bit slow. Fuck yeah just got him dual wielding. Quartz Ring +1 kept his aoe damage to near nothing.

If you farm Black Gulch keep in mind you can fireball/arrow/bomb the pools with the creatures in them to set them on fire. The blacksmith's daughter in town will sell you unlimited titanite after you open the shrine of winter, I think, and unlimited upgraded versions as you progress further.

Someone has already done the no-bonfire thing. It doesn't sound as bad as expected, as things like dying will repair your weapons, etc. The no-death ring seems harder to get now, even considering you can rest at bonfires.

Apparently there are two ring rewards in game for beating the game without using bonfires, and for beating the game without dying. Each ring makes one of your weapons invisible.

As far as I could tell it just made enemies hit harder, didn't seem like I was getting any better loot or souls. So I got the Dragonrider Bow and it seems pretty good. I didn't know boss weapons were gonna require petrified dragon bones to upgrade, but the jumps are pretty high.
