Try switching Overall to low and then back to high, see if they fix.

They're supposed to be brown and they're not because of your graphic settings. Maybe texture quality? If you bump up overall quality they'll fix themselves. They turn gray for me when I turn Overall to Low, and fix themselves when I go to Medium.

I love my bard, funnest class to play IMO. Lots of mobility, decent dps and pretty much always needed due to support songs that other classes don't have equivalent buffs for. Mana for healers and +damage for other casters.
