Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

I'm done getting excited over a premise. That's the easiest part of a film to come up with.

    Justice for Zimmerman

Being charged in two different jurisdictions for the same crime is not new and is not double jeopardy. It just tends to hardly ever happen because there is not a ton of overlap between state and federal. There is no federal murder statute, for example, so unless you went and stabbed someone in a...

    Star Trek: Discovery

First Contact and all of the other Next Generation films never happened. They are the delusions of Captain Picard as he sat unconscious in the sun on Veridian 3 after Saron beat the shit out of him. That's why he's so incredibly out of character for all of the other films with his driving and...

Boston Marathon Explosion - Today's Topics: Public Schools

This is why you plan for the worst and come equipped with a dead man's switch a la John Travolta in Swordfish. You'll never get a cool showdown if they can just pop you at 1000 yards.

Alright, so I officially hate Piers Morgan. He's actively spreading misinformation and doing so with a Hannity style aggressiveness. What a gigantic piece of shit.

I knew the media was dildos but this trial has me genuinely worried. I didn't start watching it for the best reasons. 4chan was making thread after thread about Rachel's testimony so I started to tune in. I saw a young, urban woman who was disrespectful of the court, unreliable, inconsistent...

It's small but Zimmerman didn't call 911. He called 311, a non-emergency number, as there was no emergency. Witnesses called 911 later after Trayvon doubled back and started kicking the shit out of Zimmerman. By saying he called 911 having seen a black kid walking around it makes it sound like...

This narrative that Zimmerman followed a scared kid against orders who then panicked (who wouldn't!) really has legs.

Tenth Edition was for me. Actually, a number of core sets were really decent. I'm not a fan of the current way they do core sets overall but among the "M" series I think M13 is pretty good. It's got some neat new cards and some interesting reprints and I can see reasons for players of different...

I've got a duty to flee here in Wisconsin. If someone started hacking at my front door with a chainsaw and I decided to load the shotgun rather than leg it out the back door I would be criminally liable if I pasted the dude.

Tenth Edition (not M10, which is bleh) will forever be for me the perfect core set. The design goal was to include at least one card from every set in the game's history and it'sawesome. We've got the full set of ten pain lands, Underworld Dreams, Birds of Paradise, Wrath of God, Abundance, cool...

You didn't say those numbers were meaningless. You said those numbers make sense from a statistical point of view. I say that nominally in terms of numbers of crimes committed that there should be more crimes by whites against blacks than the reverse given the massive difference in populations...

    Justice for Zimmerman

I don't necessarily agree. With all the white people out there committing crimes and given how greatly they out number blacks I would think that the numbers shouldn't be so stark in contrast. We've got 433,934 crimes against whites and only 55,685 crimes by whites committed against blacks. On a...

Rachel really is the best macguffin ever. Let's talk about anything OTHER than how her testimony and behavior aided the defense. Did you know she speaks three languages?

See, "cracka" and "cracker" are really terms to describe racist white people thus they are not actually prejudiced terms.

Yeah, there's no evidence that Zimmerman started the fight. Trayvon doubled back and used the very tactics he discussed on his Facebook - a shot to the nose and some ground and pound - to teach that creepy ass cracka a lesson.

Yes, I agree that it was his fault. Doesn't he know how dangerous black males are? It's best to put all responsibility onto Zimmerman. Those colored people are little more than wild animals, soulless brutes to whom blame cannot be placed. To follow one is to court death.

How about something like this - The Kaiju attack and basically all the conventional military can do is lure them away from a population center and go with nukes. Fighting them with non-nuclear arms takes forever and spreads their hideous plague blood everywhere. Those options sucks so the...

    Pacific Rim

The problem is that we never see people losing hope. The movie goes out of its way to show the very opposite, that the people support the program. I didn't think The Wall or the apparently inept politicians added anything. We've got monsters coming from another dimension, everything we tried...

The more this drags on the more disturbing I am finding it. Larry Elder, while heated, is exactly right. None of this grand standing from the left does a single thing to help black people and his message about things that would actually help address the core issues (single parent households...

I know this article is from back in July and I'm not 100% positive that this is the case but I don't think Zimmerman ever claimed Stand Your Ground. It was self defense from the day 1. It was the media that got everyone in a huff over that law.
