Yeah. A lot of times PCs get PC-only buffs that scale better with +DPS and +Tanking and are wasted on fixed abilities, powerful or no. This was true in BG2 when you get Tears of Bhaal and get a bunch of stat buffs, along with other rando stat buffs that would be foolish to waste on companions...

I'd watch a Dark Souls anime if it had the same confusing fever dream style as the game.

And fudging the dice for enemies. Think of all the kobolds with dumpster tier attack rolling against your fighter with ankheg armor and protection rings. With karmic dice they'll start getting through after a few bad rolls.

hmmm I kind of like the idea of karmic dice. Whenever I stacked ridic AC on my tank and nothing could hit him unless they crit, it was kind of silly. The converse is true.

So for the last 20 years of replaying BG1/2, I've always used a level uncapper as part of a huge number of changes to the game (along with a ton of difficulty and content mods...). With how much content BG3 alleges I wonder how much time will be spent at the level cap, which can get kinda stale...
