I think you missed the "open beta" bit. Games have given pre-purchases access to closed betas for years, this is a bold new strategy that gives players access to a limited time open beta event, and thats it.

PoE isn't even remotely balanced around the fact that trading exists. It's balanced around a tug of war between out of touch developers with a Messiah complex and streamers who play the game professionally.

I'm not sure why multi-player even matters in last epoch at this point. They decided to implement "Blizzard trading". It's a single player experience forever now. Who cares?

Again... you're vastly underestimating by saying sitting people only saves you 10 wipes...even in heroic. Besides, if you have a roster big enough you can't bring everyone, why wouldn't you bring the best raid force?

You're lucky if the "bad" players in your guilds are only costing you 10-20% more wipes on the final bosses in a raid

That's the way raiding has always been. It doesn't matter what level your guild is. Normal, Heroic, whatever. There are always the bads that literally waste everyone else's time. And the "I'm just here to have fun" bads mostly don't seem to realize wiping and failing over and over isn't fun.

I seem to remember them mentioning in the show that badgers aren't endangered and that the laws are antiquated and from a time when they were and should be revisited in today's reality. But I might be making that up.
