    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Yeah, its really powerful but the real problem is how fast and how damaging the swingable polearms are. You just cant swing a polearm like its a long piece of PVC pipe and if you could, it wouldn't cleave a man in two like it does. The menavliatons don't have the reach or speed (damage) to...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

It's the javs vs swords mod. Without it they'll frequently use their swords which makes them garbage-tier troops. With it they will chew up the front-line of the assaulting force extremely well with javelins and then when the forces crash holy fuck do they smash with their overhead attack. I...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I'm kind of curious to see what it'd look like if instead of a horde of menavliatons I had the battanian fian champ archers just gatling-gunning everything. I figure that any army with shields would eventually get close enough to turn it into a melee fight where the fians would still roast...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I figured I'd create a video of a typical big fight with my Menavliatons before I put the game down for a while. Realistic damage on for everyone. Challenging combat AI. Glaive is a blacksmith built one with 200 range. Companions all use glaive + bow. They could've cut down the enemy army for...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

I think I'm going to take a break from bannerlord until they make it so lords don't go into battle with recruits constantly. One of the fun parts about Warband and its mods was that you'd start in on a different culture and have to adapt your strategy and fighting style for them. Pendor and...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

hahahahah This mod is related to that. It looks like it's just for the player but I kind of want it to be for all the randomly generated NPCs too, so I can fight giants and children. https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/638

not a bad plan. Wife made me some chicken breast with zucchini noodles and a cream sauce for lunch as a keto fettichini alfredo and it was terrible.

That's kind of the problem with quests in a sandbox strategy game like this. The game is designed from the ground up to value game-time as the greatest commodity, so when you add some quest that asks you to talk to a bunch of people you have to decide whether to play the game or do the quest...

Conquering calradia seems like something I only do when I want to put the game down. Cause restarting after you conquer calradia makes everything seem so...... mundane.

New patch. Brings the "beta" branch into the "main" branch. I really hope my saves in the 1.1.0 beta branch carry over to the 1.1.0 main branch... don't have it in me to restart or re-import my party

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Yeah the recovery mechanics are ridiculous. I'm betting they haven't tweaked it yet partially because if they did the snowball effect would be much worse where an army would get captured and then the attacking army would run wild all over the land. There's a bunch of stuff that will be silly...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

The biggest impact is you lose reputation with "notables" who are the people you recruit soldiers from. So if you take over a territory by executing all of the lords in it, large chunks of existing notables won't give you soldiers. I dont' know how drastic it is, but I read a post on the...

I did quite a bit of MP before Early Access. Captain mode was pretty fun (It's you and a handful of troops you command with a few other players on your team vs another team) but it'd be a lot more fun to team up with a regular group and coordinate with each other.

So the Family Feud quest is bugged for me. I have so many companions it's impossibel to get some rando NPC in the village scene since it's bottom of the list. Even if I knock out my companions he won't show up. It'd probably work if I kicked my companions out of my party but that's a waste of...

I gotta imagine that trying to start at the center and work your way out is hard mode. Better to start on one corner and spread out. Like taking Australia in Risk.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Pretty sure the most OP weapon in the game is my 200 range custom glaive. 200 is just about a perfect balance of cavalry op and siege maneuverability. I installed Xorberax's Cut Through Everyone today. Even after nerfing it so it does 50% damage to each person it cuts through it's still OP...

pretty cool fight: He was doing really well until his infantry bugged out and stopped responding to his commands in the river. I want to create some Bannerlord vids but it's kind of a lame presentation when you roll in with 100 elite troops and smash a few hundred peasants. My battle...

If the scenes and AI were working properly, ladders would be a death trap where anyone who climbs it would suddenly become victim of archers who only have line of sight on people climbing ladders. Right now battlement archers are heavily exposed and with an even force of attackers vs defenders...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

The battlements on the ground for sieges makes it quite a bit easier too. Attacking archers can just pile behind them and as safe defensively as the archers sitting behind the parapets. Why do they exist? Did the sieging forces just kind of sneak them up there the morning of the siege...

I see it happen regularly, but I'm usually just doing sieges with me and my crew of ~35 companions.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Skills are heavily undervalued too. The difference between different units is much smaller than in Warband. https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/401 Helps most of them but I don't know if it helps troops or just heroes or what. Medicine also doesn't seem to do much besides...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Dunno, but savegames are incompatible from 1.0.10 and 1.1.0 and the way this expresses is by super-launching your skill gain, which usually hits scouting/athletics/riding first. Then it expresses by crashing :D

The sliders in bannerlord make everything so much easier. Genius UI design that will never take hold in gaming because it's not console friendly. Or maybe a joystick could use a slider who knows.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

It was at a set date, as in I would load in, wait and it'd crash. I tried a few times disablign stuff and got through that date and then a few days later it crashed again. Not too worried about it.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

That sucks because the most egregious thing I did was load up a bunch of companions, hopefully there's no core reason this isn't supported.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

not sure if it's my craziness (I modded myself a bunch of companions and used the character trainer mod to import their skills) but my game is crashing with regularity in 1.1.0. It's happened at semi-predictable times while waiting in the game world, which makes me think there's a campaign-level...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Agreed, but there's no reason to suspect they won't be able to implement their current designs to make them work. The system in question is also fairly straightforward, it's not really that complicated, much less pointlessly so.
  32. Tuco

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

This is the design, yeah, but does it actually work or is it a crap shoot? When the game came out wood workshops universally produced like 10k gold a day or something, then they nerfed it to a few hundred gold. Did anyone test that it's all connected and sensible yet? If you starved a wool...

moving on to 1.1.0, I'm pretty sure I have to make a new save. Only thing I'm a little disappointed by is my kids. I wish there was a way to bring them back. RIP Arenicos, I never knew ye.

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Yeah there's definitely some low-hanging fruit that they didn't fix. It's almost like they want modders to get their feet wet by fixing really basic, easy stuff. Like adding some spelling errors to a document and asking an intern to review it to see if they catch them, lol.
  37. Tuco

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

yeah I'm still pretty confused, none of the deploy options do anything on attack and I don't know how to build any siege towers or ballista etc. I get them when I defend tho.
