I agree but we really don't know. It's more of a thought exercise about the great man theory as it relates to scientific progress than anything.

This is an interesting tweet. I don't know what the situation with SpaceX was at the time, but SpaceX is definitely a stand-out corporation that has advanced the state of space exploration beyond the typical coattail riding of world-wide technological improvement. If any number of problems...

    Wolfenstein - Youngblood:

Maybe 150? Not sure. I played it right at release then went back and played it again late last year when they pushed a big content patch. It's not a perfect game but it has a lot of features that I think are fantastic (diverse combat mechanics, randomized content, siege warfare). In a lot of...

    Wolfenstein - Youngblood:

I'm up to 1200 bucks. It was worth every penny. I can't believe that game didn't win GotY. But seriously, for those that didn't post in that thread, that game (Shadows of war) had the most poorly thought out loot purchases ever that did almost nothing to really help you. They could've offered...

The big downside to having a toddler learning to walk is now I cringe everytime I hear something hit the ground because I instantly think my kid just got a little dumber from smashing his skull into the dirt again.

    Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries announced.

Yes, but I think it's worth waiting a year or so before checking it out. I bought in at the first gen VR and quickly resold it (oculus rift CV1, made a few hundred dollars profit lol) because the resolution / image quality just wasn't there.

I know it's 8 years too late but take a blow dryer or heat gun to melted crayons and then wipe it like with a clothe or something. Worked great last year when our boy melted a crayon into my car's upholstery

Even though my hairline has been the same since I was a boy it still bothers me (and I regularly check whether that fucker moves), but people's weak ass attempts to make fun of it don't, so carry on. It's just a matter of time though, lol.

    Everquest - Live Servers

You'd be rolling the dice every time you left the PC and let them run. You could easily bot up to max level using repeatable instances that you abandon, but once you get there, there aren't really aren't that many isolated spots to run a bot crew that gives you top group gear. Based on what...

It's a testament to the achievement made and a global disgrace that we aren't looking back on the Apollo missions as a quaint achievement that was impressive only given the tech available. Here's to changing that in the next ten years.

    Everquest - Live Servers

TLP has more drama than live servers. What you described is atypical of either server. Most drama is caused by resource contention, where if someone thinks you're invading their camp they'll snarl at you like a rabid badger. I avoid it by just being vocal and polite. I have a pretty fast...

    Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

There's quite a bit of depth to it. I prefer the mounted combat which is higher speed (as in, translational speed rather than timing). The melee combat can also be heavily dumbed down by setting your swing direction to enemy location instead of mouse movement, which I prefer to play on since I...
