Yea, Amazon is weird as hell about some items that ship to APO and others don't. That's nothing specifically to do with li-ion batteries. Hell, I have had the most mundane things not able to ship from Amazon. Then just pop over to another vendor website and they ship no problem.

You auto-scribe spells automatically as you level. I believe after the server changes, this is also true up to level 50. From then on, you gain them the old fashioned way. I can't answer your later question, but I am pretty sure bard songs never landed on pets. I am not 100% on this though.
