    Whats rustling your jimmies?

Holy shit people, it's quite simple. There's a bit of an overhang/lip between the rim and the seat, so any up-splash can hit that, in addition to your ass/thighs. Nobody in here can claim they've never had a diarrhea type shit that splashed all over the place, including on your ass/thighs a...

    Might & Magic X: Legacy

Yeah I guess I just don't have as discerning an eye as others. It really doesn't bother me at all. I look at that picture with the door and I'm like "Cool." But then again I've never been one for ultra-realism in my games. The better the graphics get, the more they tend to slant toward...

Yeah I have a feeling this is going to blow away even my already high expectations. Looks/sounds fantastic.

    Might & Magic X: Legacy

I think it still looks just fine for a game like this in the "bad" pictures posted. I don't understand it when people bitch so much about graphics that look just fine, but maybe look a bit dated. If they look "dated" but from an era that still had good-looking graphics, then what the fuck is the...

    Might & Magic X: Legacy

Yeah, I feel the same way. Similar to stuff like Zelda, Mario, etc, when the big 3D paradigm shift happened. It's great, sure, but it no longer felt like Zelda/Mario/M&M anymore. To me, anyway.

It's actually quite the awesome little RPG/platformer thinger. Controller recommended though.

    Might & Magic X: Legacy

Hmm, that stuff about Unity doesn't bode well for Pantheon This game will probably get my money if I can get it for 15 or less. I absolutely love the MM series, and the older tile-based Xeen games are the best of the bunch.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yes maps in-game (some form of exploration/purchase required to "fill them in" though), no, never show your location on them, and zero minimap. Done and done.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yes, the limited viewable range is the main reason to bother with actual dark nights. Sure, give everyonesomekind of response, even if its a simple torch. But that torch only really reaches ~20 feet away, whereas your normal viewable range during daylight is much much farther.

    Tales of Maj'Eyal

I checked the wiki a bit. Not necessarily wanting spoilers, but basically wanted to A) see what in the world I need to do to unlock new classes, B) try to figure out more of this inscrutable item/stat system (it's not very intuitive at all, really), and C) pick up any other random tidbits. I...

    Tales of Maj'Eyal

Ok my second Alchemist got fisted in the second dungeon, I made it to level 6 or something. Hooray! Didn't even know I could level up my golem and equip him until right before I died. Anyone have some kind of noob guide/breakdown? This game is quite intriguing, I love the complexity/depth...

    Modern Family Season 4

I gave up on this show at the beginning of season 3. It had gradually declined from S1E1 to then, and by that point I was just so fucking sick of the gays, the shrieking hispanic woman, Manny, etc. Such a PC diversity circus. Really obnoxious.

    Android/iOS/Browser games

Just got an iPad, looking for some good games to play. In particular, there was one I remember seeing at some point from this thread, but I can't find it fishing through the posts. It was a first-person old-school style RPG like Eye of the Beholder et al. Anyway, recommendations for anything...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Some of you keep talking about how certain mechanics in EQ were fun for the person doing them, but "boring" for everyone else. Well you know what? In an MMO (a game that you're playing for hours on end at a time), there need to be ups and downs--lulls in the fun. Humans thrive on relativity for...

It's reminding me why I never even finished the campaign (first time ever not finishing a Blizzard game). It's just not fucking Starcraft anymore. Looking forward to the Half-Lifes though.

    Board Games

There are never fewer than 2 hero characters, so in a 2 player game, one player plays the Overlord, the other player runs 2 hero characters. The reason I suggest no fewer than 4 heroes is because while it does scale, 2 heroes favors the OL quite a bit, and 3 heroes favors the heroes quite a...

+1 for Descent 2E. A couple of points: 1) Descent is playable with 2-5people, but I would highly recommend using 4heroesat all times 2) The number of classes actually has doubled to 16, contrary to what Vaclav posted

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Zones never bothered me in EQ, and never detracted from my feeling of it being an actual world I was exploring. It also has the added bonus, as Mr Creed states, of allowing the designers to quite easily add new content into existing areas, if they design their zones well. In fact, that's...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yeah as much as universal loot sounds good on paper to help mitigate un-wanted raid drops and such, in reality it VERY quickly makes the game quite stale and soul-less. Same issue with point/badge systems. MMORPG's go hand in hand with seeking specific items off of specific baddies, crushing...

Well I have Quelaag's sword, but it's not upgraded I don't think. Would that be much better? My issue will be I've been using a spear the entire game, so I'm going to suck ass with anything else. Good times! haha

I've been stuck on Ornstein and Smough forever now. I've only attempted them ~15 times, but that's been spread across 3-4 play sessions. The Big Bad Console Thread - Sway your Station with an Xboner !

Yeah, a movie is linear and can buffer quite easily, a game has a ton of shit it has to buffer based on all the possible decisions the player can make. Some games might work ok, but the more complex ones I can't imagine working all too well.

Yeah, other than that whole thing that Quaid was bitching about like not being able to afk for 3 minutes to take a shit because he's the healer. Too bad that druid can't take up healing duties for a few minutes while he shits. Oh, wait. It sounds like you want World of Warcraft. I hear...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

The so-called "gimping" we're talking about here is a lack of desire for druids in groups, in large part driven by overpopulation, but yes in some part driven by aperceived-by-the-communitylack of fantastic group utility. And yet, you say you had no issues. And Quaid doesn't seem to have quit EQ...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

I agree to a point. But as I said in that post, I also very much like to see unequal experiences. So what if the game has a minor subset of its playerbase churning a bit because they find out they don't like what they've chosen, and move on, or something?

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Actually, yes, I believe responding with "roll a different class" is perfectly valid in this case. If you don't like what thecommunity-related ramificationsof your chosen class are, then well sucks to be you. Deal with it, or try another one. The great players of those classes (and the...

Uh, it's definitely one of the key defining aspects. I don't know how you can argue otherwise. It's basically instancing, quest-grinding, and flawlessly smooth combat as the three largest defining aspects.
