I understand what you're saying, I want my shield to look at the ready. But I think they are basing more off of the reality / historic accuracy of the weight of the shield. A historically accurate shield, even a lightweight one was heavy af.

I would be willing to be that they are almost two different audiences. Especially when you add controller support into the mix. General Chat in both games is almost entirely different for reference. People in FFXIV are the most understanding, forgiving people Ive ever ran across in a game.

I'm always interested in a new MMO. Simply put, if there is more competition with a higher quality... then even if I dont like it personally, it will filter over to the MMO's I do enjoy and make them (hopefully of course) step up their game.
