Gilead stuff looks like yet more BS from them. At some point they need to die to a malpractice fire if they keep this up. They're basically using their drug as a snake oil without a single shred of published evidence that it helps. Markets seem to be soaking it up, though.

companies like that are strongly insulated from the short term effects of this crisis. With amazon in particular, I'd be worried about there being a lot of worker lawsuits in the coming year, but for now you'll probably be fine with them.

Oil prices are completely whack. The bad stuff is basically getting priced to oblivion. Canadian and US poor quality oils as low as 4$ a barrel, wtf. Apparently it costs more than that to even get it to market. Canadian oil in general is getting hammered to oblivion, most of it going at half...

Strong drumbeat of hope is what's keeping the air in the market. The govs are obviously willing to print staggering amounts of money and take on huge debts worldwide. It's a plan that is only reasonable if we open up soon and fast. If the economic outlook continues to deteriorate for a month...

The size of the cancer is possibly worse than 2008, but the banks all see it coming this time and are preparing for a storm. Lots of unknowns at this point. Almost certainly will be a bad year for a lot of banks, but likely survivable for most.

Yes. On my two main accounts I'm still 100% bond's/cash. Only move I've made was betting on a squeeze at GME. 100% of the float short is pretty lol.

There's still lots of stuff moving around. I'm sure they are negatively effected, but worst case scenario they furlough people and keep working. Delivery services are used to large swings in demand already, with holiday seasons and what not.

I read that demand was down ~35% somewhere, so I think a 35% cut would have been the minimum they should have aimed for, probably 40% with the current overstorage. 35% drop in demand is pretty massive.

Not surprising, crude prices right back down. Those cuts they announced were just not nearly enough. It'd take almost twice the cut to start unraveling this mess, and even then it'd be a couple months.

Russia isn't really in OPEC, though they are involved with them. Looks like most people have agree to ~20% cuts, even US. Big problem here is most companies are on board, but a couple are resisting. It'll probably not be enough to substantially raise crude prices in the short term. There's...

I don't think it's crazy to say the markets feel divorced from reality atm. I mean we're up 10% this week on news that there's been only at least 12 million new unemployment claims in the past two weeks. No biggy.

6 days from the start of my 2 week window to buy back window I decided on a few months ago. We're about where I expected to be at this time, which is kinda confusing with how ugly the markets looked earlier this month. I really don't trust this bounce.
