I'm probably going to rock the new and improved EK, the new skills look disappointing. Blood rage took another beat down with the nerf stick. Just when lockstep gave everyone a hope for an HC viable flicker build, welp!
Indeed - I've played fairly regularly every temp league from onslaught and have never seen a pure eternal drop and maybe 12 pure exalt drop spread out over all the leagues.
Tourists don't know which alley to walk down. There's the assault and battery alley, buy/sell drugs alley, general muggings alley, and of course organ theft alley.
Can do the same thing with a sign build really. Max out Quen/Yrden early, and between the shield/regen/slows it's really hard to get killed even if you fuck up and put yourself in a bad situation. Combine with the griffin talent, med armor, and all blue mutegens and you sign intensity and...
Armor is in a better place than it used to be. They buffed and/or rolled in a lot of armor increases together with other nodes. I think they also tweaked the formula itself though I could be wrong or at least no one has figured it out yet in beta. So combined with endurance charges and fortify...
Actually most of the crafting stuff is .01 etc. Pelts, armors, weapons, extra crossbow bolts, Junk, extra horse equip, etc are usually the main culprits. Seriously guys, just go get one of the weight mods.
Well anything for the standard league will be better than torment/rampage at this point. What a waste those two were. And it will be nice to finally have a hardcore league that isn't landing instagib mechanics in your face. Ok beyond wasn't that bad, but the release of invasion and bloodlines...
There already seem to be a few decent balance mods and xp mods (both faster/slower), but I think I'll still wait till redkit and/or something more comprehensive is released for a second full play through.
Think it's just to get other investors to bite, contribute more funds, etc, since it looks less risky when people prove their interest with actual money instead of just rabid forum fanboys
Whether it's the next coming of christ or a complete failure, at least we can get some fucking closure to one of the longest running video game drama's of all time.
I'd skip Witcher 1 for sure, maybe read up on how it ended if you really care. However I don't recommend skipping Witcher 2, it was an amazing game in it's own right and will set the stage for W3
Don't see the point in trying to stop min/maxing. The hardest difficulty levels technically should be there for the min/maxers and as Vorph mentioned this isn't the case. I was able to beat death march without potions or socketing my gear, some of which was the griffin set I crafted back at...
I noticed the same thing and by level 16 began out leveling quests faster than I can complete them, and I'm sure I even missed a few notice boards or "!" quests. And once you out level stuff by even a little bit they become incredibly easy even on death march. I'm hoping someone can put together...
Yeah this game will kill anyone with any type of complex/OCD/completionist/hoarder. I was doing good keeping up on stuff through velen/novigrad, but once I hit skellige and saw the map and POI's in the middle of the fucking ocean I said fuck it and plowed through the plot quests full throttle.
Novigrad kinda is in/part of velen, so you were probably in and out of there quite a bit and didn't even realize it. You can't get to skellige and advance the plot to kaer morhen w/o going there afiak
That's one of the other issues I've had - The witcher gear is so good I crafted the superior griffin set at like ~16 and have yet to find/buy/craft anything better and I'm now 28. Also, money is so much not an issue later on that haggling, contracts, and loot become pointless. I'll probably...
I don't think the POI's are that bad, my main problem is they don't bread crumb you to actually go out and explore things. I spend most of my time looking at the main map so as not to get lost running to a POI, and the ingame HUD is so damn tiny you don't see anything notable on it till you're...
Think the point he's trying to make is a market filled with eternaled, exalted, mirrored gear devalue's really good "dropped" rares because no one is going to pay 40 ex for a dropped rare when they can save more and buy a perfectly rolled, divined, t1 mirrored item.
I was also annoyed at their need to fit in as many references to 4-6 as they could. R2 and C3 were unnecessary and they literally stuck chewbacca in for 2 seconds just so people could say "OMG ITS CHEWBACCA"
Think cards are there pretty much to appease the self found or people who avoid trading whenever possible. I'm sure they'll continue to be the least viable farming option - and if not it's easy enough for ggg to adjust the drop rates/locations
Loot filter is as amazing as the hype made it out to be. Several people have already released comprehensive loot filters that are pretty much set it and forget it from level 1 all the way to end game meeps. Also, GGG did a pretty good job streamlining the earlier acts to fit in act 4 - they're...
Yeah, pretty much just premium tabs and maybe a few micro's for your favorite skills - Rest is just useless fluff. I tried the HC 5 day solo, was at about position 80 on the ladder when I finally ripped at 82. Was interesting playing forced self found and wasn't as hard to gear up as most people...
