Watching Justin play for a bit today. It's a very nice looking game that's for sure. Animated very nicely. Definitely needs way more characters, and i think 2 chars is gonna result in a pretty clear meta as opposed to whatever nonsense Tokon is doing with 4. Although that's rather apples to...
They kind of backed themselves into a corner with that. I’m not sure they can easily get out for non msq content. Every job getting some variety of combo points and bar to spend is a bummer.
GM gnomified us all, then gave us various skelly illusions. The dwarf skelly aninmations are pretty fantastic. Falls apart and reforms. Plus the beard is pretty top kek.
Finally got around to binging this. Sleeper really fucking great. Thread is in the search black hole sadly. Gave me some Satoshi kon anime vibes for the pacing and the weird trippy boys. Definitely worth a watch.
You didn't miss anything with this. Buncha nonsense. The invincible panel was way better. Made it actually look semi interesting.
The OG hunt Betty vs Justin is actually pretty amusing. I totally think it's scripted, but last set is happening now.
Not even playing anymore, but
Is nice to see. Unlike wow which was kinda all about the shoulders, ff14 hats were pretty key.
Phoenix down changes are interesting. Wonder what brought that about. Backup for not having a secondary res dps class in the party?
I’ve only done a monk to 5 ish? Fd and the heal button are pretty handy, but sound like the dps isn’t super hot until perhaps much later when they can start quad hitting.
Drop rate for the spellblade pages is ROUGH. Maybe tomorrow. Not sure about the changes to that class so far. I appreciate that just being proc monkeys was probably not ideal, tho amusing. But now they're shitty proc monkeys with an occasional insta cast nuke. Oh well. They should put...
yeah actually communicating with folks in the world actually pays dividends. Even if it's as simple as " hey got room for one" in this camp. Plus ooc is quite active
Monks get FD, Lizzies are coming- but way later. Wood elf start area is real bare bones. You're basically just gonna grind mobs there and hit the trainers until it gets fleshed out more
I mean the point is to send you into the city and use the guards and waypoints to start making a model of the layout in your head. Not to just beeline through a map like a smooth brain.
I could see rough maps being posters , planning tables, or props in game in quest areas. Maybe the inquistors track down rogue map makers? Lore-ing up reasons for map free existence wouldn't take that much
First person in dungeons, cuz the camera controls were aids. i never understood how you could pull in first person and not get all kinds of shit trained on you from behind. Other than being a camera spinning spastic.
Not that i'm saying it didn't happen, but the scourge of pan and scan was an actual scourge. And aside from the minor furor of FX? Disney? mangling the old simpsons 4:3 episodes for awhile that isn't generally a real problem that I've run across.
