The lack of a reset makes the likelihood that I play ranked in S4 fairly low. I always liked the partial wipe and then hopping into ranked later in the season to see what's what. If I'm going to enter into S4 with 40 LPs worth of Plat 5 then I'll take my S4 rewards now, thanks.

Riot said they weren't doing a soft reset this season but they've got a bunch of other S4 changes planned for the system so I don't really know what it's all going to end up looking like.
